Yes, for the price, ya can't beat the okuma's. I have several, and they do work great, but the drag creep pulling dipsy's drives me crazy. The Tekota's are the best for that.....ya just can't beat the tekota's. Sure they cost a little more, but they are the best I've used. S.

The whole thing is a total scam. I have a CEL on in my car, that has nothing to do with emissions, and they won't even hook my car up. I refuse to have it repaired. Could be a million little things wrong. I'm driving with an expired sticker right now, and when I get pulled over, I plan on going to court to fight it. Whether I win or lose, the judge is going to hear a long story,because the exaust coming out my tailpipe is perfectly fine, and would pass any other test easily. They have to catch me first If I can make it through the year, I'll but a sticker next year when I'm not required to do emissions!! S.

My kids like verulum park on Sturgeon lake. Nice sandy beach, boat launch, and a pier you can tie the boat up on. I'm not sure if there is a fee, there wasn't the last time we were there. Its a bit further than scugog, but scugog isn't very nice for swimming at all. It will come up on google. Its on the 'caygeon arm of sturgeon, kinda between fenelon and bobcaygeon. S.

Yes, pretty tough conditions for fishing on sturg. The lake has been whipped to a froth the last few days with this cold front. Too bad about the owners at LH. That used to be a great little resort ran by good people! It still beats working! S.

Fishing the mouth of the ganny can get crazy at times with other boats. When the salmon come in close, there is a fleet of boats out there all trolling together. Its crazy at the best of times.

I usually use a long leader on simcoe. About 10ft of 8lb mono. I use improved clinch-improved clinch, but any knot will work. The trick is the jigging technique S.
