  1. Thanks for prompt response. I really don't have experience of big water but certainly will go after ensuring weather. Secondly I am looking a time when fish is closer to river end before river run, don't want to go deep into lake. Thanks
  2. Hello every, My name is Sardar from GTA and love fishing. Last year I bought a 16' used aluminium boat but mostly went perch or bass fishing. I never had a chance to fish salmon from a boat. I was planning to go port hope this week-end but not sure how far away from shore I need to go keeping in mind safety element of this small boat. Both boat and motor are in good shape. Thanks in advance
  3. I along with my son using Zodiac kind of 10' inflateable for the last four years with a small gas motor. Never had a problem. With hardfloor I don't have any problem to stand and fish. However, always put my lifejacket and other safety measures on and remain in small waters. I always keep an eye on weather condition as well. As regards almunium boats, no one can guarantee that those will not sink. But remember Zodiac kind of boat are expensive. It is good to have one if you don't have space to park your boat. Regards Sardar
  4. Hello everyone With a planning to do lot of ice fishing this year I intend to buy flotation suits for coming season for me and my son (Model 845) shown as 2nd last product at link http://www.tacklebargains.co.uk/acatalog/F...d_Buoyancy.html but not sure about the durability and effectiveness: Apparently looks cheaper as compare to same products available in Canada. Therefore, would request members to provide some feedback or tell their experience about this product and about the custom duty or taxes etc from UK to Canada.
  5. Hello Members, My name is Sardar and from Toronto. I am a regular reader of this great board but unfortunately don't post because of time constraint. I have a question. I have a 2hp evinrude motor and have heated space to store it in winter. Do I still need to give some treatment to motor during storage. Best regards Sardar
  6. Delighted to see many people welcoming me. Sorry did not notice what information I should add for help. Anyway I live close to downtown Toronto. Mostly let the catch go for next fisherman. Couple of hours one way traveling is not a problem for better fishing besides paying some parking charges. Thanks everyone Sardar
  7. My name is Sardar not an experienced fisherman but spend most of my leisure time in fishing. I had been a silent reader of this board and found it very informative and friendly. Because of limited space I own a zodiac kind inflatable with motor. I fished Rice and Scugog many times but never fished rest of Kawarath lakes. I would love to fish there too. Could you please direct me to locations at Kawartha Lakes where I can park my car and put my inflatable in water to wet line. Thanks Sardar
