  1. Where u located?
  2. Its at the bowmanville creek. The fishway has been shut down, so volunteers have been lifting them over the dam manually. They have a pulley system set up where they net the fish, put them in a bag, and hook them on the pulley. They're released upstream. I've helped a couple nights down there now. Its quite a mess, they need all the help they can get. S.
  3. He's a beauty Lew! I've seen a few now, but that one has a great rack on him! I think they are the most majestic of canadas big game. Their bugle is something to hear first thing in the morning, too!! What a sound that is! Nothing like it! S.
  4. Ya, sounds flooded to me too. Hold the throttle wide open when starting it again, but I wouldn't choke it at all. No choke, full throttle. Run a bit of seafoam thru your next fill up too! S.
  5. I think I'd be doing that job myself. Could be done in a weekend easily, and yeah, what permits are required for that?? S.
  6. I use a plow LOL......haven't needed the blower for years. Still maintain it and have it handy tho......... S.
  7. I'm praying for a long cold, snowy winter. We haven't had one for years! Last year was ok for snow, but it wasn't cold! S.
  8. Gagnons sports sometimes has some good deals on used guns, as well as accuracy plus in ptbo. S.
  9. Ha......nice play there Roy! YOU WISH! LOL S.
  10. If you had your license down home you will easily be able to challenge the test and pass. No need to take the whole course. Do you have your firearms license? S.
  11. I can't find the graphic pics?? LOL They all look GREAT to me! S.
  12. Yep, you have to report it, or toss it back. As soon as you have it, your in possession of a restricted firearm, and can't even move it legally. I'd check to make sure its not loaded first though......and for god sakes, keep it pointed in a safe direction! S.
  13. Gagnons just had some Tanglefree layout blinds on sale, worth a look. Its a blind you lay down in for hiding in a field, in case you don't know. Water spots are sacred, a field is a little different. If/when I get a field and need a guy, I'll get in touch. S.
  14. Any ducks?? LOL Smoke 'em if ya got 'em! S.
  15. As much as I LOVE my icefishing, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE hunting season! Gimme a few more months to stock up on meat, then I'll be on the ice smiling ear to ear! S.
  16. Good stuff Rob! Kids don't ever forget those days! I know I never have, and my son doesn't either! Its always worth the time to take a walk in the woods with the young lad. There is always something to see. Most people just don't notice it! S.
  17. Good looking harvest guys! I found my first puffball of the season a few weeks ago, they might be done now though. A lot of people out harvesting mushrooms around here as well. This rain will knock down the ripe ones, but will make more fresh ones grow. Love this time of year, but I need to study my mushrooms. I know I'm seeing a lot of edibles, but I'm too chicken to pick them and eat.....lol S.
  18. I would be very happy to have 100 perch to clean YUM! S.
  19. Good time for mushrooms right now. I've been seeing lots. I wish I knew what they were lol S.
  20. The jewelweed seems to be working. I took a couple bendryls this morning, and been squeezing the jewelweed juice on regularily. Its getting better! S.
  21. Good score! Great looking spot! Best part is there is No grass to cut S.
  22. Sounds a little sketchy to me.....yikes! S.
  23. Yep. I've never ordered anything from there though. Doesn't sound like something he would do, so who knows what's going on. S.
  24. The jewelweed is definitly working. I did one arm with it earlier today, and its already noticeable. That said, I'm covered in the stuff now. Spots on my legs, swollen arms...friggen sucks! Might have to get something prescription now. What a PITA!! S.
  25. Sure, any chainsaw will clear trails or brush, but when your felling. Trees, bucking them, and sawing cord after cord of hardwood, those lower end saws will let you down. If your just going to use it occasionally for light duty, but a cheapie. If you plan to use it a lot, get one that will last, or you will just pay less twice, rather than more once. You do get what you pay for. S.
