  1. Bethany, millbrook, and pontypool all get my $$. Even V-power doesn't get as good mileage, and its not supposed to have ethanol. If I'm away from home, only V-power goes in my tank. S.
  2. I'm lucky to have several in my area. The difference in gas mileage in my vehicles is incredible, versus fuel with ethanol!! At least 100km/tank, and if I keep my foot out of it, close to 200km/tank. S.
  3. I won't leave shore without worm harnesses and bottom bouncers for eyes anywhere I go. Don't be afraid to go deep. I've caught them in 60 fow up there. S.
  4. I've been saying that for years. Between the east tribs, and kawartha lakes, one guy would be running his butt off trying to keep up!! S.
  5. I've been storing my boat outside for 20 yrs with no issues. All my issues happen when I'm using the boat, not storing it. I live in an area where I don't have to worry too much about getting ripped off too much, but jacking the trailer up and. Taking the wheels off helps with theft! S.
  6. What he said. Simple and effective. My TM batteries aren't wired into anything but the TM. Everything else runs off a smaller 12v source. S.
  7. There is definitly a clique on this site. I've been around here for a long time, been locked out, banned, sworn at, called names.....you name it, but I still come back. Some days you can post gps locations, others you can't name a lake, it seems to just depend.... I agree with the OP though, I think the two locked threads were shut down for no good reason. Not a nice way to welcome a new member IMO. It could have been handles in a much nicer way. Life goes on......... S.
  8. Nice spot! I've never heard of birch tar before....interesting. Kinda like birch syrup, but a lot less harvested. What other uses does it have? You have many maples up there? You should start getting ready for the sugar run this spring! Another fun way to pass time that time of year! You can also tap the birch trees. S.
  9. This is the only way to do it. I guarantee I can tie at least twice as many this way as any bait "machine". Those things do nothing but slow me down! S.
  10. Wow!! Nice one for sure!!!! S.
  11. Interesting stuff for sure!!
  12. Have a great day Paul!
  13. I know its a long weekend because all the citiots are driving my quiet country roads like idiots!! S.
  14. That sucks dude! How deep is the water where you dropped it? I guess the water was too stained to see it on monday, but it might be cleared up enough now to find it. Have you been back since?? S.
  15. Cool! What are you doing out there? S.
  16. You guys watch too much TV! LOL I just don't see any need for a fancy TV, I don't watch it enough!! S.
  17. It will be fine, no worries at all. S.
  18. Good stuff! Those are some nice trout! I've caught them on crayfish patterns before too. Pretty neat, eh? S.
  19. I predict the piers and harbours will be loaded tonight. With people.....probably some fish too. S.
  20. Good stuff! The old hook and worm never fails for specks!! Those are some beauties! S.
  21. They'll both clamp on no problem, but the salty's are the way to go. Buy them once and be done. S.
  22. That's what its all about! I'm starting to enjoy doing that more than fishing myself these days. Kids love it, and they don't forget it either! P.S.....I've been taking my nieces and nephews.......no grand kids for this guy!! S.
  23. Its funny how things go. I've had the nautilus for 4 years now and still going strong. Not a problem. S.
  24. Hands down, no question, get the Grizzly. S.
