  1. Will look excellent on his resume
  2. You can use just one rigger but it would be a pain to use stackers. Get 2 if you can, if not use one rigger and the other a dipsy
  3. I was saved once by the safety chains after a huge pot hole bump at low speed. Always remember those chains
  4. looks great when the tracks go on
  5. Notice he had no life jacket on him. He could have flipped got himself killed.
  6. Nice to see, think they will be a little later coming in thick this year compared to last year. Where did you launch out of?
  7. Yes Fishmasters is $10.00 now and he has a system to try and keep track of who pays. Still it's not as crazy as Port Maitland. Its a great place if your by yourself. The good thing is port maitland finally put in the docks so launching looked better. Went out July 4th. Dead calm, crystal clear water. You could see down 20-30 feet. 30C.. Launched at 7am- done by 10:30 and headed to the beach.. not a touch
  8. Its funny normally I do the same always launching at Fishmasters but I thought a Thursday Early, no wind... When I got back in the parking lot at Maitland was a gong show. Good to see the area busy but wow!! May give it another try tomorrow or go Salmon fishing always a tough choice
  9. Thursday AM -- Water was like glass. Pulled Worm harness, Stick bait and small spoon.. Only 1 sheep head.. water was still in 60's Did find lots of marks near gull island. Port Maitland launch is underwater made it interesting by myself.
  10. Lake Erie is a finicky lady - I would stay within a few kilometers from a launch until you get more comfortable. She can blow up in a hurry and calm down just as fast. from the South is harder to hide from the waves. From the north its calm in shore (close to bass fishing) Really If I see the wind predicted to be over 20k, I pass.

  12. I was hoping to get out Thursday AM out of Port Maitland hope the winds co-operate
  13. lol, looks nice Lew. Looking forward to seeing what you make
  14. My only thought and no expert but Temagami is so clear and full of bass. Small walleye have few spots to hide. Once they made it past a stage they are good. Start stocking the lake with Walleye fry to balance it out
  15. Think this year walleye will be a little later showing up on the east side of Erie. Water is still cold. Now if this year the wind would just be a little bit less and we could get out more!!
  16. how high is the water up there Lew?
  17. Boats Card goes with the driver and at this point does not expire. PCOC card is by person driving the boat at the time you are stopped. The boat you are on .. has numbers on the front .. Below is what they are charging people .. expired, wrong address etc.. easy money if not completed correctly!! You buy a boat and forget to call and update address... Licensed pleasure craft There are no fees to license your pleasure craft. Pleasure craft licences are required for vessels used only for recreational purposes, do not carry passengers and are powered by an engine of 10 horsepower (7.5W) or more unless they are registered in the Canadian Register of Vessels. Some examples of the markings on a licensed pleasure craft are 13K123456; BC1234567, 10D123456 or QC1234567. How long is a pleasure craft licence valid for? Due to recent changes to Section 106 of the Small Vessel Regulations, pleasure craft licences are now valid for 10 years. If there are changes to your name or address in that time, you must update your licence. This information is used by law enforcement and search and rescue organizations in emergency situations. https://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/marinesafety/oep-vesselreg-registration-menu-2311.htm#registering A really good read if you want to see the fines .. https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-96-313/page-4.html
