  1. Sorry for your loss Wayne and Family
  2. I just got back from a great Lake Trout lake (posts coming), JohnF was right, most of the fish were hanging around the 40-60 foot zone with the surface temps in the high 68's We were trolling through them with riggers, the only way we started getting them was putting the line back about 100 foot and trolling the ball right through them. Jigging could be tough as you would be hard pressed to stay stationarly. I would try a lead pencil weight and a williams. There would be less drag and more depth. The dippsy would work if you have the bigger ones and lots of line. Good luck! LeXX
  3. Thanks Cliff and Bly for bring that monster BOQ trophy sorry I did not think it was that big . When we past you I was thinking about you two as the rain kept pouring. Now I am wishing I was in the boat with you Great going and good seeing you again.

  10. I have been going for 3+ years with this being my 4th. I can say that Lakair is one of thoes places that has it all.. Fishing, and great staff. I am sure there are other spots too go fishing, but none will be the lakair experiance. I would go where ever a G2G but Kevin and Leslie do a good spread so it all works out.
  11. treat her like a car, yea you can thump her down or slow and steady. I always try the mid way just incase I forgot about something and as GCD said it rolls out never hole shot when at the marina!! you look like an ass and rock the docks
  12. So, true we put in so many policies to try and regulate a blanace of nature yet we never try to regulate the growth of man. (ok except china) If religion of every form took a back seat for a bit and we tried to slow population growth it might save us as a species in the next 10000 years.. The entire world needs to go on brith control for about 100 years until that happens I am going fishing to reflect on what nature is still free
  13. I was on lake ST clair when the Mayday relay came over the wire, It was very sad event too listen too. It was choppy, but not sure how the boat could have flipped. RIP -

  19. Been doing my geography, All the houses and people hang out on ward / center / Algonquin island part of the Toronto islands. "Cormorants have overtaken a peninsula of Toronto's Leslie Street Spit, which, thanks to aggressive nest building, is barren but for one tree. (May 13, 2009)" from the Toronto Star. Now if the cormorants took over the Algonquin island where the houses are you thing they would all still be there.
  20. Hi All: So I upgraded my boat too a 40hp 4s over the winter.. Wow what a differece in speed, and power. The problem is now that I have the bigger engine my walleye fishing has a slight problem. Even in the lowest gear I am going to fast. To solve it so far I put out a drag bag but its hard to drive and I still burn the gas. I have access to a 2.5hp kicker and thinking of buying off a friend or should I get a trolling plate? Couple questions, will my transom handle the extra weight when driving around with a 2.5 or would a trolling plate be a better investment. Thanks all
  21. He had a choice just not a politically viable one.. Says tough to Ontario and GM leaves lots of people out of work short term pain. not voted in.. Goes along with the US better relations let GM die a slow death can say at least he tried. There a are a couple things here, Will the new GM make better cars? How long before the union starts stiking again.. Thing about goverment unions is there is always more money out there. Name one goverment run industry that is not reaping us for high wages cause they can. Oh welll, goverment knows best and listen to the people the leasts.
  22. Don't worry that was not a bear from Canada it has no pockets to carry a passport..
