  3. I was asked to step out of my comfort zone on a project unlike anything I have ever attempted, but with the help of a skilled artisan/carver/painting friend I'm well on my way to getting this custom fly in Brook Trout rod assembled.

  4. Just got back from a 4 night family camping/fishing trip in Parry Sound. Save to say we did very well! My son caught quite a few bass He had a huge one break off a couple days ago, that was cruising around under a dock, so we came back this morning before heading back home and he caught it this time. The Monster was 20 inches long, 6 inches thick, 6.4 pounds! we are going to be a replica made, it swam away just fine. Awesome fish!

  10. Slob of a bass! Congrats. We used to have a place near Parry Sound and I had a few fish like that living around the dock. I would feed them worms by the dozen...then every once in a while put a hook in a worm and tell a visiting kid to dangle it off the dock. Many a happy kid caught a pb off that dock! and a 5 or 6 lb bass on a scoobie doo rod is great fun to watch

  15. Been hard at it, just haven't been posting. Got the ceiling joists/trusses all finished up as well as the vent plumbing and fire sprinkler pluming all done in the attic. Still have some wiring and woodwork to do. Also have to finish the vaulted ceiling insulation before I can do the attic insulation.

  16. If the coils are old, worn etc, they could lower your RPMs, miss fire or simply not fire at all. I watched Bernie (30 year mechanic) diagnose a problem with FishnSleds 115 Merc. Hanging off the transom at 40k, you could hear the coils mis-firing. It would run, sometimes smooth and others, mis-fire. If yours are original, it can't hurt to replace them, they aren't that expensive and you will notice the difference quickly. HH Edit - not a Motorhead, but I can play Ace of Spades for yah on bass, if you wish! LOL

  19. If you're going to spend any decent amount of time fishing salmon, get yourself a set of riggers. Even manual ones.. You're at a disadvantage without them.

  20. The most important thing in fishing is - putting something in the water. Almost anything. Everything after that is bling.
