  1. You actually have to submerge them to soak the paper type bobbin before they will inflate. A little dampness probably won't do it. Rain falling from above won't do it either.

  7. Pigeon, Buckhorn, Chemong, Mitchell, etc are dropped low in the winter, there is basically no water in front of my place on Lower Pigeon when it's frozen. If you look at the top end of the system around Kennisis and Redstone, those lakes are dropped like 6 feet or more. They have to hold back water to fill those lakes to avoid low water levels in the summer, then slowly let any extra down through the system. However, I still don't understand the problem, because it was rare to get flooding in the spring years ago. Maybe it's the people who are managing the system???? Some say it's climate change???

  9. Looking at the long range here, it doesn't look as bad north compared to where you are. I hope they are right here and that they are wrong for your neck of the woods.

  12. This is why I get so pissed off when people whip by me (while I'm fishing) within 10 - 20 yards at full throttle. That's how easy it can happen and then take out innocent boats in the vicinity.

  13. No one will give you precise spot. But any lake with public access will have fish. Lots of lakes within 2 hours of gta that have public launches. Sounds like your new to fishing, make sure you read and respect all the regulations and follow whatever license you buy (sport or conservation). Bass doesn't open until late June, and walleye isn't till late May. Theres usually limits on perch and crappie as well.

  18. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Daiwa_Aird_X_Spinning_Rods/descpage-DAXS.html You might check out the bottom one on the list here, it's a Diawa rod and very reasonably priced, they maybe available locally for you? All kinds of options and pricing out there and everyone seems to have their own opinion on what rod feels right to them. I was surprised to see the guys on tactical bass using them because they rarely use any under 100 bucks, they seemed happy with them.
