misfish Posted August 11, 2018 Report Posted August 11, 2018 Found 2 little spots on my booties for my waders this morning. Whats the best thing to use to seal them ? They are small worn spots on the top of the bootie. I would just buy new waders, but if I can get by for this season, that would be great.
smitty55 Posted August 11, 2018 Report Posted August 11, 2018 I would go with Shoe Goo, that's what it's made for. Cheers 1

ketchenany Posted August 11, 2018 Report Posted August 11, 2018 Just leave it, in this weather the AC is good lol 1
aplumma Posted August 11, 2018 Report Posted August 11, 2018 rubber cement with a patch piece on top is what we used on our wetsuits. Coat both pieces allow to dry then put together with a rolling pin for pressure. Art

porkpie Posted August 11, 2018 Report Posted August 11, 2018 I've patched a lot of waders with shoe goo.
Snidley Posted August 11, 2018 Report Posted August 11, 2018 tHE BEST PRODUCT FOR WADER REPAIR IS aQUA sEAL. iT'S CONTACT CEMENT DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR NEOPRENE AS WELL AS gORETEX (BREATHABLE) MATERIAL. iF THE HOLES ARE SMALL JUST GOOP IT ON IF THERE'S A RIP OR TEAR TAPE SOME MATERIAL OVER THE HOLE. uSUUALLY WADERS COME WITH SOME PATCH MATERIAL TO DO JUST THIS TYPE OF REPAIR
grimsbylander Posted August 12, 2018 Report Posted August 12, 2018 I had a great pair of neoprene stocking foot waders that I'd had for about 20 years before a mouse ate a 1 inch hole through them. I just threw them out....they would never have fit me anymore but now I get to blame the mouse!!
singingdog Posted August 12, 2018 Report Posted August 12, 2018 Marine Goop: I have patched tons of whitewater gear with it: no issues, much easier than contact cement.
misfish Posted August 12, 2018 Author Report Posted August 12, 2018 Well I bought the goop. $13 for a tube I will never use in a life time. Why cant they made a small tube? LOL Thanks fellas for the help. B
