BassMan11 Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 With the soft water season almost underway..... I have already booked my "fly-in" trip for this year. Thanks in part to Mr. Borger, I am headed to Marshall Lake near Nakina in mid September for some big pike and a plethora of eye's. My first trip to northern Ontario. Where is everyone else headed for their "big trips" this year?
lew Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 As I do every year, I'll be chasing muskies on the West Arm of Nipissing for a week in June and another 2 weeks in August. I've fished in a lot of places but have never found a place I like better.
Gnote Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 Pike trip near timmins in may, a week off in august that will either be another pike trip or a week of salmon derby fishing in lake ontario, and more than likely a muskie adventure to somewhere during late october.
TJQ Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 Got alot to take care of around the house this summer. but hoping to get to camp as much as possible, got our annual Kesagami trip in late July and hopefully a fly-in with the kids to Partridge Lake before we send Jaden off to University in August.
Jds63 Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 Fly in with Hearst Air in September ... but need to get lots of other fishing in before then
chris.brock Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 (edited) Eddie's Windsor Lake camp on the Attawapiskat in mid July. I've had my eye on that camp for years but couldn't justify the drive to Armstrong. Now that Eddie picked it up, away we go.... Edited April 24, 2014 by chris.brock

Good Muskie fishing in there as well so I am told. Had a follow last year from a big one while fishing for smallies.
pairofgreenhorns Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 Hoping to make a trip to Pasha Lake Cabins, seems like a cool place and maybe a fly-in trip wherever Mike Boerger sends me lol...although he doesn't know that yet. lol
BillM Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 (edited) Fly-in at the end of May, White Otter start of July, another fly-in mid july, and Nipigon like always in August. Edited April 24, 2014 by BillM
lew Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 Do you ever venture in the the upper french Lew? I've fished it a couple times but without too much success. I've been going to the West Arm for 10 years or so now and know the area well and usually do good with the muskies, so that's the reason I keep going back.
alphaalpha Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 i am tasked with picking the spot for our annual boys canoe/fishing trip this year. End of september we will be heading up to some lakes off the beaten path of the spanish river area. If anyone has alot of experience with that area (west of the spanish) i would appreciate talking to them
