With the soft water season almost underway..... I have already booked my "fly-in" trip for this year.

Thanks in part to Mr. Borger, I am headed to Marshall Lake near Nakina in mid September for some big pike and a plethora of eye's. My first trip to northern Ontario.

Where is everyone else headed for their "big trips" this year?

As I do every year, I'll be chasing muskies on the West Arm of Nipissing for a week in June and another 2 weeks in August.

I've fished in a lot of places but have never found a place I like better.

Pike trip near timmins in may, a week off in august that will either be another pike trip or a week of salmon derby fishing in lake ontario, and more than likely a muskie adventure to somewhere during late october.

Got alot to take care of around the house this summer. but hoping to get to camp as much as possible, got our annual Kesagami trip in late July and hopefully a fly-in with the kids to Partridge Lake before we send Jaden off to University in August.

Eddie's Windsor Lake camp on the Attawapiskat in mid July. I've had my eye on that camp for years but couldn't justify the drive to Armstrong. Now that Eddie picked it up, away we go....

Do you ever venture in the the upper french Lew? I am usually up there the 2nd weekend in Aug at my uncles cottage. Good Muskie fishing in there as well so I am told. Had a follow last year from a big one while fishing for smallies.

Fly-in at the end of May, White Otter start of July, another fly-in mid july, and Nipigon like always in August.

I've fished it a couple times but without too much success.

I've been going to the West Arm for 10 years or so now and know the area well and usually do good with the muskies, so that's the reason I keep going back.

i am tasked with picking the spot for our annual boys canoe/fishing trip this year. End of september we will be heading up to some lakes off the beaten path of the spanish river area. If anyone has alot of experience with that area (west of the spanish) i would appreciate talking to them ;)

I'm going to have to sneak aboard Lews boat one time this year :)

No sneaking required Bill, we'll try and make it work this year for sure.

That was a great day Norm, really enjoyed spending the day with you.

Unfortunately I lost a whole whack of pictures from my computer a couple years ago and the ones from that day were among them.

Sounds like a good excuse to get some more pics! Lew, you catch the fish, I'll make them all look like 80lb monsters :)
