lew Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 I saw a huge flock of a couple hundred geese heading north yesterday, the robins are in the trees, I took off my winter wheels this morning and put on the summer chrome and now the 1st flower of the season has arrived Life is good...
BillM Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 Lew, I was down in PA fishing a tribs a few weeks ago and there were fiddle heads already on their way out! I kept tripping over the damn things, lol!
Rod Caster Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 Fiddle heads and smelt in north bay next!
davey buoy Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 The deer are now visible from the highway as seen this afternoon,Spring is in the air.
lickmyarmpit Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 Scouting my local trib on the weekend and saw some daffodils sprouting, might prep the boat this weekend.
Whopper Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 Lew down here the tulips and daffodils popped up a couple of weeks ago now the trees are starting to bud. I may have to mow the grass in the next week
lew Posted March 13, 2012 Author Report Posted March 13, 2012 I may have to mow the grass in the next week We've still got some snow and ice in the shady parts Phil, but it's going VERY fast. Trouble is the lawns are like gigantic wet sponges.
NAW Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 I can't wait for the trees to start to bud. In a couple of weeks, I won't be able to see the road from my house A little privacy
Fang Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 I got 2-3" on the bulbs in the garden already out of the ground. Last night was sitting in the backyard with the dog and counting the dew worms on the lawn. I could have picked a couple dozen
BassAsin Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 Haha, took the skidoo into a lake trout lake today, and drilled holes through 24" of ice. Oh yea yesterday I drove the truck out on Nipissing to pull a buddys shack and had to drill through about 30 inches there. not gonna lie but I can take another 3 weeks of winter.i
SirCranksalot Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 Spring has sprung---- the creeks have riz---I wonder where the rainbows is???
captpierre Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 Hey Lew. I'll bet you a Suick that we're still going to get some winter.
grt1 Posted March 14, 2012 Report Posted March 14, 2012 +10 today the snow has gone down by atleast half. lots of slush now on the lake. supposed to be +16 on the weekend. The only drawback is my neighbour, who spends the winter in Florida, is coming back in early April and within a day or so of her coming back we usually get a HUGE dumping of snow. (and she refuses to stay in Florida until opening weekend LOL)
