irishfield Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Looking at Ron's pics I'm pretty sure it's 46E 30667 or 48E 30667. If that brings up a Legend...bingo!

bigfish1965 Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 I have a fractal program if whomever has the original will send it to me I can make it clear rick at ofncommunity dot com
Brian Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 That there makes my stomach turn. But I am with you on this one Wayne, I thinkit is 46E 30667 near as I could decipher. Lets get 'em Brian
setomonkey Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Wayne, You either have a way better computer screen than I do or you're a lot better at reading blurry images. Must be the pilot eyes! Mike
Terry Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 I tried Genuine Fractals Print Pro but with the originals we just might get it
irishfield Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Wayne, You either have a way better computer screen than I do or you're a lot better at reading blurry images. Must be the pilot eyes! Mike Could have been training from the 20 years that I did drink and things were blurred...or could have been 25 years of squinting to make signs readable...before I realized I needed glasses!
Ron Posted November 23, 2006 Author Report Posted November 23, 2006 Isent the originals off to the pair of ya. Good luck with them. Wayne, I tried the sqinting thing too, didn't work for me. Next, I'll try a few Ceizures, see if that works.
bigfish1965 Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 I looked at all three pics and came up with 46E 39557... Just my opinion on what those nubers read. Based this on 3 different angles and using a few jpeg repair and fractal plug ins.
bigfish1965 Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Well we narrowed it down to 2 possible boats, Terry. Too bad we don't have access to the registration database... Anyone here work for Revenue Canada??
Rattletrap2 Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Great work guys! I would have to go with Terry on this one. Just comparing the first "6" to the second one. Surely someone from the MNR can run a check and come up with a hit. They know the boat and have a good set of numbers to work with. Photographic evidence and all.
Terry Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 first CSI Vegas then CSI Miami then CSI new york NOW........CSI OFC Community......LOL
bigfish1965 Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 I think he gets another ticket for having the numbers too close together
danc Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 I like the way that this is going so let's keep it right up top for a while. Great work guys..
Carp Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Quick, what's the sequence of numbers for the missle launch ? Ultimate morons !!!
Nemo Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 He is wearing Bell Canada Issued Winter Gear. Gerritt. Which one?
bigfish1965 Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Another thing I noticed was in one of the other shots Ron sent was that the hull was very stained. IF there is a marina nearby he may be a seasonal docker.
Gerritt Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Nemo, the one in the orange survival suit.... notice the BCE Hat? Gerritt.
graftongal Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 If there isn't already such a thing as undercover CO's, there should be. I think that would have positive results for crap like this.
ccmtcanada Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Wow...just read this thread in detail. Since I cant afford a boat, I just looked at the pic this first time and didn't even pick up on how many lines he had in the water. Great work everyone on the registration number, but I have a suggestion that may generate more hits to this thread....making it sticky is great, but can we changed the subject to make it more urgent? Maybe something like...."Help ID these Guys...Who has access to boat registration info?" or hmmm... "Attention Conservation Officers...." or....well you get the picture.... Cliff
tonyb Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 (edited) It always amazes me that there are no C.O.s ever piping in on any of the Internet boards. I guess when they get home after work, hopping online to break up schoolyard scuffles would seem like more work... Those guys in the picture do know what they are doing and obviously have lots of cash. I have seen more and more cases of highly experienced anglers poaching/breaking regs than the usual stereotypes. The bad thing about this is that the knowledge these people have allows them to be much more effective, thus impacting the fishery way worse than someone who was poaching that wasn't an experienced angler. The flip side of this is, since you won't get busted, why not try to get away with it? I know it's wrong ethically, but it's like the people I work with who come in late and leave early every day. Since they won't get busted, they push the envelope and ultimately work much less for the same or more pay than their co-workers, I say good for them! Such a messed up world we live in eh? wuchikubo Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Yeah, let's remember to remind CO of our website the next time we get a chance to chat with them! I don't have a boat (yet) but that sight would get me riled up as well. Let's bust these poachers!
Nemo Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Wow Gerritt you have better eyes than I do.

Tony Just like Tony descrived ... this is pretty much what it comes down to. Imagine if we took all the OPP off of the 401. At first, only the worst of us would take advantage, but eventually the numbers of speeders and dangerous drivers would climb till it seemed there was no point in remaining legal. This sort of stuff will get worse before it gets better.
