  1. Sounds like you're having a good time as usual Connie! Looking forward to being able to join you again one of these years, lol! And isn't Whopper just good for spaghetti and meatballs?
  2. Wishing your family all the best through this Wayne. This story makes my ride participation all the more worthwhile!!!
  3. I am sorry to hear about your situation Wayne, it is not a fun thing for a loved one to go through.
  4. Thanks everyone, and a big thanks again to Joey & Paul and Roy for their donations so far!!!
  5. Hello everyone, I have been a member here for years, but rarely get to post anymore because of a job that keeps me out on the road and away from the computer. Perhaps a blessing in disguise? With the permission of my dear friend Roy, I have decided to post here to ask for your help in my participation in the 2013 Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer. In June of 2013 I will be participating in a two-day, 200km ride from Toronto to Niagara Falls. The proceeds of the ride benefit the Princess Margaret Hospital, one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world. I realize that it seems rather early to be asking for donations, but I have set my personal fundraising goal at $3,200 (with each rider required to provide a minimum of $2,500 in donations). With your help, I hope to achieve, and even exceed, my personal goal. Cancer is a disease that affects so many, and I would like to thank you all in advance for any donations, no matter how small, you can contribute to this worthy cause! To donate to the ride, please visit http://to13.conquercancer.ca, you can click 'Donate' and then search for my name under participants. Another way to donate is to go to my personal page at http://www.conquercancer.ca/site/TR/Events/Toronto2013?px=3128702&pg=personal&fr_id=1431 and donate from there. Wishing everyone the best, Sandy Turk

  12. Hey Phil, I am sorry to hear that you had to get rid of Wyatt, and also sorry that I saw this post a few days too late. We have been thinking about getting a companion for Dax and Wyatt would have been great. If I didn't know better, I'd say the two of them were twins!!! Sandy

  20. Hello old friends! Things have been a bit crazy for us lately so I haven't been around much. Things are finally starting to slow down again, so hopefully I'll find more time to post again. I've managed a big (but wonderfully good) career change recently and we're looking to move up to the Kawartha Lakes area. I am wondering if anyone can suggest a real estate agent in the area that they can personally vouch for. We are hoping for something within a 30 minute commute from Lindsay, hopefully waterfront!!! Thanks! Snady
  21. Happy belated birthday Marc!!! And Pete too of course! Maybe there is something to being blessed by the musky gods by being born on the first day of the year??? I'm very glad to hear that you got out to play hockey with your son, I'm sure that meant a lot to you.
  22. Looks like your fishing greatness has carried on into 2008! Way to go Joey!
  23. My hat's off to them for the job they do and the crap they deal with on a daily basis. I believe that they exercise sound judgement, otherwise they wouldn't have their jobs. Sure there may be some instances where wrong judgement calls are made, but I think a lot of people forget that they are human and do make mistakes. It isn't an easy job to do when you're constantly under public watch. I am pretty certain that their intentions aren't to go out and kill or hurt someone in a traffic accident. I will never judge because you never know when that person you've criticized is the one on your side to protect you or help you out.
