kemper Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 Well, this is it for me. The cabin fever has set in. My trib froze up last week, so no more steelheading, and I dont ice fish. What the Heck can I do untill late february when my trib opens up and I can target the ever elusive steelhead again?
bassjnkie Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 Find a scientist freeze yourself and tell him to unfreeze you when the time comes. LOL, I am not making fun of u, because if I could do that I would be first in line. LOL

Rich Clemens Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 (edited) Crossing today off the calendar and counting the number of daya left until my next fishing trip. I am thinking that is somewhere around the third week in June. Must be something special going on. Reading Posts. Waiting for the local outdoor/sports shows to come around. You know .... nothing of importance. Edited January 25, 2007 by Rich Clemens

JerseyDog Posted January 26, 2007 Report Posted January 26, 2007 To cure cabin fever, I drink beer. A lot of it. Then summer comes and guess what, I drink beer and lots of it.
Canuck2fan Posted January 26, 2007 Report Posted January 26, 2007 I do what I did today. Find current on a trib with a little opening in the ice and have at it. Of course I had to break open about 50 feet of sheet ice with my rod holder tied to my stringer so I could fish. It was a bit of a joke though watching 20 or so rainbow swimming around totally ignoring all the different baits I had with me. The craziest part was everytime I smashed open more ice the bows would come cruising over to check things out. I would have thought the noise and dragging my rod holder would have spooked them. NOPE just made them swim over for a look see.
huntervasili Posted January 26, 2007 Report Posted January 26, 2007 Fly tying, and hunting are what I do to keep that fever away... although it comes back afer 3 or so days of not doing some sort of hunting or fishing related activity...
