Entropy Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 Who has Hydro ?? Just got a text message back from my Buddy who lives in Windermere, says he is still without power, I feel for him, he’s a stay at home day Dad, with a 1.5 year old on the loose. And does some property maintenance for a few million dollar “cottages”. I guess we lost power yesterday, only for 20 min. How are you making out? Entropy
Sinker Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 Thank god I didnt lose power, I'd be pumping out my basement right about now!!
wuchikubo Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 No problem here, never stopped for me.
Big Cliff Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 All good here in Lindsay, a few short bumps yesterday but that was all. Sinker, if you are ever in a jam and need a generator let me know, I work for a rent all place so I can probably get my hands on a rental one for you on short notice and at whatever my boss would charge me for it. (probably free but if not, at a good discount).
Entropy Posted January 10, 2008 Author Report Posted January 10, 2008 Here's a link to the outage maps. http://www.hydroonenetworks.com/en/about/o...s/south_map.asp Entropy
Shelley Cooper Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 All good here in Innisfil... didn't loose hydro at all... thank god...
OhioFisherman Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 Just a tip, get a large boat bilge pump and a float switch, 12 volts and may save a flooded basement. You can always take a battery out of the boat or car to run it.
irishfield Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 Out for about 5 hours yesterday..but good today!
misfish Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 All good here in Innisfil... didn't loose hydro at all... thank god... That was alot of floods you guys had down there Shelly.

This I have for now.......two actually.....and a deep cycle battery for each one.......but if I'm not home when the water is flowing like it was yesterday......and the power goes out......I'm royally screwed! Woodsman Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 Power is good here. Lost power at work yesterday for about 45 mins. Last winter I lost power for over a day so I feel for those without. Hope all are back up soon. Best Wishes: Rick
camillj Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Came home early from Minnett area yesterday (power was out for a few hours and we decided to head back before dark) ... not sure if they have it back yet.
