  1. You need a boat to look around. lol Cleaned up in past at Rouge R., Duffins Creek areas. Shore casting sucks for everything except carp.
  2. Had water get in basement for first time here College / Ossington. Lots rain, still raining here. Lots of problems, GO trains, TTC, DVP, etc... Hope it stops raining here! Easily had 100 mm in 2 hrs. with more to go.....Geez.
  3. That is very impressive! No triploid farm escapee there.
  4. Lake Ontario has huge massive smallies !!!!!!I have got some brutes at both the Darlington nuke plant and the Pickering nuke over the years !!!!! !!!! I tried my best NOT to catch smallies at the nuke plant. lol They were infested with 5-6 lb smallies. Any obvious structure, river mouth, pier will give you a good chance of a smallmouth.
  5. Ya only GSP is revered like Anderson Silva was Maybe the young Canadian guy Rory Macdonald will eventually take out GSP. lol
  6. Ya cool! Now that is hockey players in the summer. Rick Green and Larry Robinson had cottages by mine on Pigeon Lake. A couple of decades ago was trolling muskies, Larry Robinson went by in boat and cut my line by accident. He thought i was waving to him, when i was warning about my trolling. Summer and hockey players.
  7. Great to see these big birds on the comeback. Many thanks.
  8. lol ...the irony... You could post only if you have nothing good to say.....ie...
  9. Was thinking about Charlie White's fishing machine. as well. A favorite show back in the day.
  10. Wow! That could be largest, most beautiful tiger musky i have seen from Kawarthas. Usually fat musky/pike like that are caught in the fall. Excellent catch!
  11. That 43' er is a tank. Thanks for posting pic.
  12. Again, we are lucky that you put up these very well written tales of fishing adventures. Great read punctuated with excellent pictures. Still mega-opportunities for great fishing over next few months in your area. Hopefully only "whoas" not "'woes" in future. Many thanks!
  13. Excellent photos! Great to see the Bald Eagles showing up so much, they are coming back strong. The bird photos are really well done. Nice muskies!
  14. Simcoe walleyes are FOOTBALL walleyes. My guess is 8 lbs or a little more.
  15. That i an awesome video of an exceptionally well fought fish. The drag on the reel was perfectly set. Good stuff!
  16. Maybe the only good thing about pike entering Balsam, Mitchell, etc... is the chance of catching a Tiger musky. That is a gorgeous fish. Cool to see a picture of 43 incher you caught. I remember that fish and (CoolB) from one of those Niagara R. G2G'ers i think. Must had been a decade ago....time flies.
  17. Live in downtown T.O. That stuff would be stolen quick. So no way.
  18. Nice walleye! Back 15-20 yrs. ago they were easy targets around Beaverton through ice until they closed season early. My PB of 16 lbs. came from there.Saw 20 lbers come from there and swore must be world record swimming in Simcoe.
  19. I remember back about 6-7 yrs. ago a member (PatrickGG) posted a report where he caught a chain pickerel in lagoon at Leslie Spit (Lake O). It weighed about 8 lbs. It was the weirdest catch since they are not supposed to be here and it was fairly large.. No doubt it was chain pickerel , maybe crossed with pike. Wish i could find the picture or post here.
  20. So sounds like ministry controlling water levels on Kawarthas is biggest demon to bass spawning. Soiunds like those who live in FMZ 17 on lakes. Have observed that bass spawned long ago.
  21. Have caught lots of plastic bags. A few rocks when jigging which seemed to fight back....one was rusted, lava like, thought it was a meteorite piece. A Gull hit my topwater once, caught fishing rods, lures (including decent muskie one) etc.... Even have caught old, wet sock (wasn't walleye) and other items of clothing,,,,fun stuff.
  22. Started same topic a couple of days ago..... http://ontariofishingcommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=70087 Shouldl be fun weekend in Zone 17.
  23. That is a great story! They were generous back then. I remember entering the Canadian Sportfishing contest in mid 90's and winning tons of stuff which i still mostly have. Even won Canadian Pike angler of year from going to Toronto harbourfront with boat. lol. Caught dozens of 34-40" pike with CN tower in view. Remember Marc Travers.? Oh yeah that is a 100% juvenille pike in initial picture here. lol
  24. Thanks for taking the time providing another multimedia fishing extravaganza! Has the feel of an old time fishing article/show being so well written. Great stuff! Oddly one of my favourite reports by you was the one where you took the family blueberry picking up on hill in QC. Again, very well done!
