  1. Had a place around there for nearly 20 yrs. and fished it till closing or ice. Found slow trolling 8 -10 inch perch or walleye finish Jakes or Believers over the 40 - 55 ft. depths produced. When a little shallower 20 - 30 ft. the Perch Super Shad Rap worked well. The musky are hanging around trying to pick off the little walleye, perch that go into that deepest water at this time of year. Dress warm, have a thermos of coffee and troll.
  2. Thanks for these thoughts. Obviously speaking the truth from experience with others. I agree 100% with everything you say.in posts about this. This has put a black mark on Conservative politicians and others right up to the Federal level.
  3. Most likely jail? Admission of smoking crack carries a criminal charge. He still has a homicide investigation led by chief homicide Det. Sgt. Gary Giroux to answer too. He is mayor of Toronto for now but he is done. The major bombshells are still to drop. BTW his company Deco Labels gets 150 million a year doing decaling on city vehicles, buses, wheel-trans, etc... There goes his gravy train.
  4. Yup, Paddlefish were last found in Sandusky Bay, Lake Erie, Ohio 80 yrs. ago, they feed like Bighead and Silver Carp... More than likely Great Lakes aren't good habitat for these things.
  5. It almost doesn't matter if he has a drug problem either. So far what has been shown is just tip of the iceberg, The senior homicide investigators are still involved in compiling evidence. This has been more of a murder investigation actually. FORD MORE YEARS from jail cell. Just watch.
  6. Very insightful summary of situation. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIJnhF8EdY4
  7. Another great post that shows clear thought. Thanks for effort. Only 2 Bighead Carp have been found in Great Lakes. That was in Sandusky bay, Lake Erie, Ohio. in year 2000 and 2003. No Silver Carp have been found in Great Lakes. Grass Carp have been around 30 yrs. plus and are prized by Carp fisherman. My gut feeling is that Bighead, Silver Carp, which are phyloplankton filter feeders, aren't taking in the clear, cold Great Lakes. They have had decades of opportunity.
  8. wow, great intelligent post. Fully agree. Not sure if your joking but the media especially CTV, CP24, etc.... are RIGHT wing owned. Could care less about politics but this dork is entertaining the city and worldwide. lol, lol, lol All reported by right wing media like CTV (CP24) Apparently there are two damning videos. FUN stuff!
  9. I remember a post about this yesterday getting pulled quickly. Somethings are just painfully SO obvious. All these political crooks are going down, Ford, Mcsquinty, Harpur, gotta love it.
  10. HaHa, you may be right( Wonder if his buddy PM Harpur schooled him on BSing when on a fishing trip couple of summers ago Maybe they used crack for bait...... We have entered the simulacrum. A simulation of reality. A time where what is SO obvious and likely true is indefensible. I didn't think Toronto Chief of Police Blair would say something, but he saw the video (that does exist), and was disturbed by much. There will be more exposed on these CONS federally and even municipally.
  11. Racial slur instead? That sounds typically American.
  12. Yup, use that for every live sport event that is not on my cheap cable. All hockey, Blue Jays games, UFC events not free on TV are free anyways!
  13. That is a great brown trout! Kinda has an old world Europe look to it, Maybe it spent whole life in river, like a resident fish. The browns from Lake O i caught in past had a chrome look to them, having spent their lives out in big lake. Good stuff
  14. Not sure where you plan to fish but i did well with a black musky spinnerbait or bucktail in Kawarthas. Mid -September to Thanksgiving was most productive period. June was also a good period throwing/trolling black musky spinnerbait/bucktail along emerging weedlines. Both those time periods are good in Kawarthas mainly since the boat traffic is low In the summer the boat traffic makes it a zoo up there.
  15. Nicely done! That last pike must be around 40 inches or so. Funny how maybe some of best pike fishing in Ontario is around Lake Ontario in GTA. Back about 15-20 yrs. ago entered Canadian Sportfishing magazine contest. Won Pike Angler of year, for all of Canada, couple of years just by entering bunch of 40 inch pike caught around Toronto harbourfront. lol Great fish! Thanks for posting.
  16. Shayne, if i wasn't disabled i would be there in blink of an eye showing you this stuff. I know you would get it Start off with morels, your work area will be full of them in May. Figure out chantrelles and you would have an endless bounty of wild edibles to add to fished or hunted things.
  17. You need to fish Head Lake by Norland if you want to get checked by CO. Been there only few times and twice was checked by CO in boat. There was about 8 or 9 boats on lake fishing. He pulled four of them off. When we launched, a boat leaving had about a 7 lb. walleye they were taking. I explained the size limits but they didn't care. The CO missed them guys but got others. Was under the impression he lived on lake, it was full of 'homes' there.
  18. The white mushrooms at the end there are quite poisonous. Members of this species (Amanita) have names such as Death Cap, Destroying Angel, etc... Guess that is why eating wild mushroom is not recommended.
  19. Ya, but you have to put in the time. The Oshawa Creek right at mouth was by far best. Not the pier now. Like i said Roe/float, minnowbaits, spinners and lots of patience Right at river mouth 5- 10 ft. depth there.
  20. Great to see Jen still getting at it despite whatever. As have said in threads before her strength and spirit helps me the most in my fight against disability. The doctors, etc...just want me to pack it up. but seeing Jen battle truly inspires me. Thanks for keeping post going and all the best to you all.
  21. My guess is your in the Oshawa/Whitby area. If so i did a lot of trib. fishing there in 80's and 90's. Go to the mouths of local rivers (especially Oshawa Creek even Whitby marina.). The steelhead kinda disappear until March, but Browns and big Walleye start hanging around the river mouth. Try minnowbaits, long casts worked slowly. Switcch up to fresh roe/float or spinners for something different. From now until ice up fishing is slow but.caught biggest fish by surprise, long fish less hours turned out to be worthwhile.
  22. An example of inane, unfocused, diatribes in political threads..... The amount of 'dolt trollers' and 'P3ta folks' contributing to these threads is near zero. The amount of 'animal activists' conrtibuting for your entertainment purpose is near zero.......ughhhh
  23. An example from a few days ago of a thread being locked quickly because it is POLITICAL. No other reason. Read the moderators closing comment. There is inconsistency. http://ontariofishingcommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=71690
  24. Yup, most often political threads are closed quickly. Usually a mod will comment, this is a fishing site go Google a political forum. Noticed that threads ripping the provincial Liberals don't get locked. There is inconsistency.
