  1. Well done videos! Not a hunter but those birds and deer look like they would be good eats. Good stuff!
  2. Hmmmm..... have watched all the 2013-14 season expert summary shows on TSN, Sportsnet, etc....and their view was the Leafs wouldn't make playoffs. They thought ((the experts) Sens would make playoffs and some had Sens as sleeper team to make Stanley cup final. I don't care though was born and raised in Montreal. Think Montreal has won 7 cups since Leafs last won one. hehehe.....
  3. That is an amazing trophy muskie! Like how you succeed at catching the best of the species available in your locale. Some people spend their lifetime, sometimes fishing into December, at the chance of huge muskie there. Your fishing sense n' skill provided a short cut i guess. Well deserved and earned catch! This is fairly good weight estimator for musky. http://www.muskiescanada.ca/articles/2007_Weight_Estimation_chart.pdf
  4. Those are incredible largemouth! Guess they are from Simcoe, what an amazing fishery.
  5. HaHa! That photo about sums up river/trib. salmon fishing in GTA! lol
  6. That is very wel done painting! It seems way more vivid than photo even Great stuff!
  7. Seemed the northeast end of Pigeon would have algae blooms at this time of year for last 30 yrs. Fish would seem to be in transition towards deeper water now. With the zebra mussels clearing the water 10-15 yrs. ago, It sure made the walleye go even deeper there. Algae bloom meant it was musky trolling time for me lol
  8. Amazing report! Read the whole thing over last couple days. 23 times at Kesagami? You are blessed to have access to great spots to fulfill your passion. Many thanks!
  9. 300/30 = 10 9146/173 = 52.76 Seems like there is 5 times a higher murder rate by guns in U.S than Canada. Its simple and obvious. No use denying this simple obvious fact. C'mon.....
  10. There is a huge difference here...... Gotta love Canadian culture!
  11. Great video! Thanks. Last time i fished Seymour caught a wicked 40 inch musky. That was 15 yrs. ago. Wonder if the musky are still there or if the pike pushed them away.
  12. Really? Caught many 3-4 lb. white bass at nuke plant in Pickering. Haven't been there for few years. It would be super cool to get into a 9 lb. wiper if they are there now too. Wipers at Pickering? Is this true?
  13. Being from Quebec and of Eastern European descent, can't help but to find this generalization to be quite racially offensive. Usually the local-yocal 'whities' are leading the slaughter of these near dead black boots. Geez!
  14. Great report and excellent fish! That you did this yourself is really remarkable and shows great spirit and skill. Thanks for sharing the experience!
  15. Lots of work for you but what a paradise! Nice that your getting premiere eats right on your property. Chantrelles, Oyster mushrooms and brookies right there now for the picking. Great stuff!
  16. Nice recount of a great family fishing trip. Kinda like reading article in fishing magazine!
  17. Thanks Fidel, ya the Perawawa is a gem within a few hours of T.O or Ottawa. Found this bone on our campsite thought it might be a moose bone.....but don't know?
  18. Thanks for the replies! It is the only place in the park where you can catch muskies, walleye and channel cats.at same time. Wayne, the post showing your daughters strength and spirit faced with serious medical problems, really helped me decide to do do this. Initially both years i said i was too disabled to go. But buddies said we will do everything and take care. I just had to get to boat and fish.
  19. Was able to get back to the Petawawa R. in Algonquin this past weekend. Last year went first week of July and it was hot and dry whole time but the muskies were biting. Didn't intend to catch them then but did. That was last year.... .....This summer went two months later in season and with cooler, wet weather the muskies weren't to be found. With the musky elsewhere all the smaller eating size fish were everywhere. Did catch fish to eat , which was the main goal. Everyday fish were cooked up. A bunch of these were around, nothing big. Lot of these as well..... Caught bunch of channel cats which really tug the line around. It was nice to get up there my buddy and his daughter worked hard as i am useless with this (SPMS) multiple sclerosis. At least with a little help can still get out fishing even in an extreme wilderness situation. Good times again there!
  20. Shows that with a little effort the cesspool around biggest city in Canada recovered to be great sport fishing spot. Any place can recover quickly when industry stops dumping its toxins.
  21. If you have access, a trip to Grand R. around Lake Erie sounds like best place.. Around Port Credit shoreline rocks by river mouth might produce using techniquea outlined above. Wondered about edibility of sheepshead but found good article. You have to clean and cook quickly since they are oily and go 'fishy' fast. Apparently they are quite good if treated properly. http://ediblecleveland.com/stories/summer-2012/bringing-in-the-sheepshead
  22. Those are incredible photos! You have mad skillz! That is probably a rare spotted gar. Found in couple spots Lake Erie shore/marsh or eastern Lake Ontario shore/marsh. Sad to see you battling the health issues, you will win out. All the best! .
  23. Have caught muskie numerous times on bass topwaters while fishing for bass. Bought one musky topwater about 20 yrs. ago called Dancin' Raider(before Topraider came out). Had about 20 muskie hit it over the years, sometimes very spectacularly, but the amount of fish boated was zero. Have caught a bunch on other presentations but musky size topwaters....nada.
  24. Don't think this was 'ghetto hood rats', this happened in a town about the same size and distance from big city as Newcastle is to Toronto. The murder rate is 3 times higher in U.S.A than Canada /per population for some reason. Tragic senseless stuff..
