  1. I could only find the trailer. Can anyone post the link to the full movie.
  2. Would there be an option for a Spezza wig and run?
  3. This isn't a leafs thread anymore. Not sure which team you are referring to.
  4. Its still a Leafs thread. Here is my logic. The thread is now called 'Hockey Thread'. Since the Leafs are the centre of the 'hockey' universe then they are also the centre of the 'hockey thread' universe.
  5. Call the Minnkota customer service line. I've always received the answers I was looking for to all my trolling motor questions whenever I called.
  6. There is an excellent article on the globe and mail from Cathal Kelly. It is a very good read and very aprapos to this thread. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/hockey/for-leafs-fans-let-the-annual-winter-of-discontent-begin/article20752675/ Here is an excerpt: The annual winter of discontent begins ... ... This is the secret of the Leafs. It’s what makes them special. And as we embark on another lost season, it’s important to remember why we’re all here – to suffer together. It’s like church, except we never get to the part about redemption. It’s 100-per-cent crucifixion. It’s probably a good idea to bring your own nails. You wouldn’t believe what they charge for nails at the ACC. As they are fond of doing, ESPN took a nice little run at Toronto this week on that very subject. Canada’s hockey cross to bear is, according to a U.S.-based outlet that makes its money massaging U.S-based viewers and U.S-based readers, the worst team in all the world (or the United States and a few lucky places that touch it)...
  7. Appreciate the kind words Cliff ... I watch and learn from the best.
  8. In no particular order, but must do continually: Cut and trim the grass, rake the leafs, take out the garbage, cut the wood, touch up paint where required, finish all other outdoor chores, fill her car with gas, bring her car in for service when required, do the grocery shopping, cook every meal all the time (regardless if its fish or not), mop and vacuum the floors, do the laundry, pick up and drop off the kids from school, help them with homework to completion, actively listen to her vent about her day and empathise, take the kids with you fishing if they want otherwise have an activity to keep them busy while you go, ensure the wife has her own plans while your fishing or has her own time another time to do what she likes on her own while you take care of the kids, when in 'alone time without the kids' please your wife first, time your ask for when she's in a good mood (flowers and jewelery work), make sure there are no other family commitements at the time you want to fish. Explain that fishing is a healthly hobby, ask her to join you. Do not complain to her about any aspect of your outing no matter how bad the weather was, the bite was, what happened to your gear or how tired, hungry or heat stroked you are. Wetting a line ... priceless.
  9. Hey Lew, I feel like I know you even though we've never met. My thoughts and prayers are with you. All the best. My dad went through something similar but in his stomach. They caught it early and he overcame it and still doing great years later.
  10. Haven't you been watching the past couple of seasons. The wheels do not fall off the bus. It's an eighteen wheeler, all wheels fully in tact that drives off a cliff. But based on the one preseason game that I watched upto the 3rd period last night with half Marlies and Nylander playing, and given their 2-0 record so far in games that mean nothing, I think they will win the cup this year. Just saying. Go leafs! I'm picking Kadri in the pool this year.
  11. A beautiful summer day on the first day of autumn.
  12. Thanks for the report fishndevil. I wasn't able to make it up to 'the lake' last weekend, but the weather pattern looked really good for the weekend. Stable all week and Sunday was the last day before the cold front. Looks like you used a swammer as the trailer. Good idea! Only ever used twister tails. Will give my swammer's a go.
  13. Hi Hirk, how do you like your talon? Do you find you get spun around alot with just one? I'm thinking of getting one, but could only fit one as one side has a swim platform. Don't want to spend the money and be frustrated with getting spun around.
  14. Here is a picture of the fog forming off the lake as we were approaching our spot early in the morning. It started off like this, but I think the air got colder as the morning went on then it was total fog all over the lake in no time. Finger tips were getting cold fishing, went to wash my hands in the water and the water warmed my hands up nice. Agreed on the good company and nice calm fresh air.
  15. My 9 year old son wanted a floaty toy to swim with off the dock. He grabbed my auto inflate and wanted to see if it would float, being a Pfd and all. So he set it in the water and poof! He found out that indeed it did float. He also found out that it was not a toy. To answer the above question, yes they are reusable. I replaced the co2 cartridge and bobbin. I found out that the bobbin anyway needs to be replaced periodically as per the mustag recommendation. From their website. recommend annual maintenance and inspection of your PFD. For recreational use, bobbins should be replaced every three years to avoid inadvertent inflation.
  16. How come there is no emoticon for 'stirring the pot'?
  17. HI Kethanany, I had the same issue. I went to Burrell garage doors on Highway 7. They sell a garage door lube in an aerosol can similar to what Lew posted. Lube all the hinges, rollers and other moving metal parts. Also I have a Chamberlain so not sure if its the same, but I adjusted the 'sensitivity' a little bit and it stopped the reversing half way down issue. Failing that while your at Burrell ask what they recommend, they gave me some good tips when I was there.
  18. Big Cliff was gracious enough to take me out for a couple of mornings to coach me on his favourite summer Walleye techniques, fishing philosophies and overall profiling. I'm very grateful for Cliff's generosity and learned a lot from a seasoned Walleye fisherman. Cliff hooked into some big ones, but the attached pic is the highlight of my outing. The picture does not do the fish justice!
  19. Hey Cliff, we love asparugus too
  20. I have a 60in shaft on my deep v and feel its too long. Gets in the way more times than its length is worth. I rarely have it deployed full length. Wish I got a shorter length. Check the Minnkota website for length guidelines.
  21. I like and also recommend the Frogg Toggs. I don't know about long term wear though as I've only had my suit for 2 years with occasional use.
  22. I go fishing based on my wife's menstrual cycle. The 1 week before menstration is the best time to go fishing.
  23. I like Andrea Halworth's comment where she called bullsh*k.
  24. Bass Pro and Lebaron for big box stores. (You should also call Cabela's as they just opened nearer to you). Pros: They're the softest plastic (good for action/fish biting and holding) of the 5 or 6 beaver type baits that I've tried. Strong coffee scent. Good tenticle/tail action. Can be fished weighted or weightless. Cons: The tenticles get torn off really easy from panfish. Especially the side tenticles. Great action on them while they last. The get torn at the tip the easiest of all beaver type baits I've used.
