  1. Anyone know where I can buy these in Ontario?
  2. There's a Chronarch 201e5 for sale in the classifieds. My favourite is the Curado 101D.
  3. Didn't that guy watch 'Jaws'? ... being beside a 9 foot GW in a rubber dingy.
  4. Cliff, what's the local cable company? I'm with Shaw Direct (satellite) for TV as they have seasonal packages, but wouldn't mind comparing.
  5. Anything else with bubbles in it. Soda water is one example.
  6. X2. I have a Legend XCalibur (Fish-n-Ski) Aluminum. The difference between their fish-n-ski and their fishing boat is not much. Bow cushions vs. more casting deck. My wife and kids love being up on the bow on the cushions and the huge back bench when in 'family' mode. I love converting the back bench to a huge aft casting platform and fishing my trolling motor on the bow in 'fishing' mode. No complaints. Agree to buy the biggest motor (main and electric) possible .
  7. Just select the day you want to see. Its about 1 day behind.
  8. Would be interested to hear a lawyer's advice on charging him with extortion.
  9. Excellent update. Very helpful for me. Thanks.
  10. Nice to hear.
  11. Could this be it? http://www.basspro.com/Tumble-Drumm-Automatic-Fish-Scaler/product/75397/
  12. Thanks for the tips. Do you get charged Duty from Cabela's with small orders?
  13. I am looking for some components to make up my own Walleye harnesses. I checked Bass Pro and they have some selection of clevises, beads and blades. The colour selection and style of blades is small and am looking for more variety. Specifically, orange, white and glo are the harder to find colours in colorado, indiana and willowlearf and interested in trying machete blades too. I may try buying the standard silver and painting it with jig paint, but am unsure of what the result will be. Checked Sail, JBs and Lebaron, they don't carry any components. Last resort is online - luremaking.com is from Ontario. Hard to spend $10 on shipping for $20 worth of components.
  14. Our snow is slowly melting here in Vaughan. Also saw Canada Geese flying Vs way up in the sky coming back. Birds chiping this morning.
  15. Exactly what I have and would do it again. Carpet on the casting decks for comfort. Marine vinyl in the cockpit area for durability.
  16. My son's school's (north end of the GTA) lights went on and off as well. Fire alarm got triggered and sounded for abour 15-20 minutes until the fire dept. came to turn it off (false alarm of course).
  17. I think a barograph would be better, as it tracks trends. It's the trend line (rising, falling) that's important. The ones I've seen are expensive. I'm going to start using windfinder.com this year and see how that works.
  18. I like the smelt for jerkbaiting, but I find the finish comes off too easy when the trebles rub. It catches fish though. Frogs are excellent as mentioned. I also have the bluegill crankbait, but have more confidence in the smelt. They all cast well.
  19. Check out: http://fish.shimano.com/publish/content/global_fish/en/us/index/products/rods/Crucial_Family/Crucial_Bass_Spinning_Jerkbait.html It has a shorter butt section, which is ideal for jerkbaiting so it does not hit your arm torso when jerking.
  20. Also had this problem. Most effective for me was the following: You need something gritty to get the smell off. If I am fishing a river/creek, reach into the river grab some gritty dirt off the bottom and rub all over your hands. Rinse with water and the smell is gone. If I am fishing in a boat and no access to gritty dirt, then a hand cleaner with pumice works. Canadian tire has Gojo with pumice or they have their own brand hand cleaner with pumice. No more smell at all.
  21. A co-worker of mine did a similar thing. Bumped another car in a parking lot. No damage to his car, damage on the other car. Went to a collision centre and they wouldn't handle it because it was under a $ threshold. I forget the amount. The other guy went to get quotes and they were outrageous. My co-worker said forget it. My co-worker finally called his insurance company (had the other cars license plate and insurance info) and it worked out that the other guys insurance paid for everything on the other car and my co-workers premium was not affected. I would call your insurance company.
  22. I have had rods shipped to me in PVC tubes. Cap ends were duct taped on. The rod was wrapped in bubble wrap inside to protect the guides and tip.
  23. PM Sent. I have a Custom 7' UL that I am considering selling.
  24. Just got my propane bill on Jan 21. $579 to fill my tanks after two months! Don't want to see my March bill after these deep freezes.
  25. Time to make your own app, that will store private data. I'll be first in line to buy.
