  1. Good to know. I know there is a Dynasty Chinese Buffet in that area. Where is it in relation to the Chinese restaurant?
  2. Congrats Cliff. Will miss you being down the street.
  3. Two right in Lindsay and very close to each other. Kawartha Bait and Tackle and Emm's Sports.
  4. If your goal is long casts keep in mind smaller diameter will go farther.
  5. I got two years out of my Deca before it wouldn't take a charge. Sent back for a factory and got another year out of it. Had enough and bought Interstates this year. Hope they hold up longer than the Deca.
  6. Lol. I was speaking with my neighbour and they were talking about the front yard looking toward the lake and I was looking toward the road.
  7. Wet and windy is okay, but cold front not good for the bite and near zero not good for feeling the finger tips. As Joeytier says above, always a good time.
  8. I have the same issue. The stock cord has snapped on me and now the cord is too short. I'm going to try this DIY solution. Much cheaper than the aftermarket cord solutions.
  9. Its got a weed guard, better colours and will last longer (if you don't lose it to a toothy critter).
  10. Just saw this. Glad you got it worked out. Just call me next time. Also happy to hear that part of the dock is in. Last weekend I was up and the water was still pretty high. First time ever the ice/high water caused a little shoreline damage.
  11. I've seen your cabin posts. You can probably make it yourself.
  12. Thanks for the updates Cliff. Hope your neighbour appreciates you. Seems to be the same pattern most years. Water levels high on Sturgeon on ice out and start to subside near May.
  13. Lol! Thanks Cliff. You read my mind and answered my question. I'm guessing 2nd weekend of April. I always look forward to this thread every year
  14. Hi Mike. Nice to see you on the board. I was helping with you at Big Cliffs with the interlock.
  15. Hi Cliff, when we were looking for a place I was doing some homework and came across your posts of how much you liked it there. It was one of the reasons why we bought where we did. It's nice to take a stroll or ride bikes with the boys to come chat, feed chipmunks in your kitchen or go out fishing. Helping you out when you need it is easy when I know you pay it forward many times. Once the boat is sold, please take me up on my standing offer to come fish anytime.
  16. X2 what Pete said. Don't touch the brakes. Own low profile Curado's and Chronarch's for Bass. Bought the 401D for Musky and in awe of its performance over the Curado and Chronarch. I want a Calcutta 201D now.
  17. Those are the best days off. Well done Jeremy.
  18. I've used the Attwood's for the last 5 years. I'm on my 3rd cover. I use it for docking only. After 2 years it breaks down from the sun exposure and starts to rip. Replacement is under warranty but only for the original purchase. Its a bit of a hassle to put on with the straps. I was looking at getting a custom cover after my current cover eventually rips, for ease of use (snaps) and more durability. At $500 I would not hesitate.
  19. Hope you get better soon. Always willing to help out any way I can.
  20. Hi Chris, Read Dr. Ferber's 2006 edition of his book Solve Your Child's Sleep Problems. Dr. Ferber explains a method of self-soothing and "progressive waiting" which encourages you to frequently comfort your child during the sleep training process. There is some controversy about the method as people who oppose don't agree with letting your baby cry for any period of time. There is also a lot of misconceptions. It is at least worth a read (get it at the Library). I learned a lot by reading it (even about my own sleeping pattern). Good luck!

  22. Great report. Thanks for sharing. Congrats on having the opportunity to fish for five days.
