  1. My very first favourite fishing rod was a fresh tree branch (don't remember type of tree) with 7 feet of fishing line tied to the tip. Overhand knot. The parabolic bend on that branch was unmatched to this day. I was hooked.
  2. Good news. Thanks for the update.
  3. Thanks Mike. Really enjoyed this. I just looked up Post Modern Jukebox and its all fantastic. Thanks for introducing me to them. They are playing at the Danforth Music Hall on June 6th and would love to go see them, but I'm already booked for fishing.
  4. ... and to clarify 'the weed thing for Cliff', its a lawn trimmer. I don't do weed.
  5. Thanks for the pictures Ernie. Interesting to see.
  6. I only have mine on when I'm not fishing.
  7. Lol. I'll call you soon for the tire tubes. Thanks.
  8. Thanks Cliff. Trying to plan what weekend to put the dock in and your reports help. And I agree water level management can't be an easy job.
  9. The Leafs/Buffalo game actually had some excitement to it. Can't be said for the last 35ish Leaf games.
  10. The leafs finally figured it out. Stopped finishing in 9th place. Looks like Ottawa are the new Leafs. Just out of the playoffs and a mid round draft pick.
  11. Roy, seems like you were just waiting.
  12. Looks like the government is at it again
  13. http://protacklemuskyshop.com/musky-store-c23.php?cID=84&pID=289 They ship.
  14. Ketchanany and Sinker. PM sent.
  15. Ketchanany, I can pick them up and bring them up to Lindsay for Sinker if that works out for both of you.
  16. Thanks All. Found them! Cliff, I called Patrick's and they said they do have a few. I'll call you to coordinate. If Patrick's doesn't work out for any reason, I called TSC and they have them! $8.50 ea.
  17. Thanks Terry, I have some 5GAL plastic buckets with lids. But the lids are not tightly sealed. How to you get a seal on the lid?
  18. Thanks Cliff, that's great! I've been calling around to some tire places here who sell used tires and no one has had any for quite some time.
  19. Hi All, does anyone know where I can get car tire sized inner tubes to help float my dock for easier installation/removal. Or if anyone has any other ideas to help float the dock in/out? I'm located in Vaughan or Lindsay.
  20. Great day when you can spend a day like that with your son. Well done. After 100 whiteys, it may be time to sharpen that Meegs hook
  21. Hope so, cause I'm getting a paint bucket grate too.
  22. Just picked up the Mr. Heater Portable Buddy 4000-9000BTU at Lowes on clearance for $79.00. The link shows the wrong picture. The one I bought for $79.00 is the traditional red one that we're all familiar with. http://www.lowes.ca/portable-heaters/mr-heater-9000-btu-portable-buddy-outdoor-radiant-liquid-propane-heater_g1646716.html?ProductSlot=16
  23. Wow, thanks guys! I have this exact problem and was going to look into it in the spring. I just contacted Humminbird and they're sending me the plug! Thanks for posting!
  24. Hi Dynamic Bear aka Brian, you sled with skis should be fine for Simcoe this weekend. The snow is packed enough that you should have no issues with plowing.
