  2. I am positive that my champion low sine wave generator blew the circuit board on my newish furnace last year when the power was out, fortunately I have furnace insurance and now I am looking at getting a better inverter generator. vance
  3. Years ago I bought a champion gen and had a generator sub panel put in to run just a few things more than you list. the few times I have used it it was great. The only problem is the champion gen that won't start when cold and I have use quick start to get it going. vance
  4. In 5 years I put 14,000k on my atv and I will say this be prepared and if you say to yourself I can do this STOP because in a lot of areas with no cell phone reception you will be at the mercy of someone running to get cell service to call a paramedic. I know of one instance where it took 5 hours to get a medivac for someone who rolled their atv down a hill broke many bones. vance
  5. Back in the sixty's I was fishing with my dad on the Ottawa river near Petawawa and I said I got a big fish, after about 5 minutes dad said you just snagged a big stick off the bottom and put the net down and went back to fishing but I kept up the fight and low and behold this 20lb dinosaur emerged along side of the boat. What a rush and that was the last time dad EVER disbelieved I had a fish on. vance
  6. I like the look but it better have an 8 ft box if they even want me to consider it. vance

  8. I havent been on it this year but that road is well traveled and is kept in good shape. Up until last year i had a trailer in Mattawa and i regularly used that road with no problem. vance
  9. What a new low has this person sunk to,I can't believe that someone would use the the freedom of information act to find someones fishing spots. Its a real waste of the MNR's time for sure.. Vance
  10. I upgraded my 2 receivers (for free) 3 wks ago and in my conversation with Shaw support they never mentioned any thing about the dish having to be up graded as well and I only have a dual head dish. vance
  11. If it is a new one definitely yes but but if its an older one I wouldn't bother. vance

  14. Sounds like that was me, Red truck with an old style OFC sticker behind the driver. You should have waved and left me wondering for the rest of the day who you were. vance
  15. I had the same thing happen to my suzuki atv only it was 33 below zero, the fuel pump relay was to cold to work. I warmed it up with a hair drier and after 20 minutes it started right up.That nite i took it out and kept it in the cabin ,it started up fine the next day after reinstalling it. vance
  16. I met her just once in person and I will never forget her. My condolences.
  17. I did 4 driveways this morning for the neighbours all of them older than I. The bonus was the Italian lady across the road gave me a bottle of her to die for (from scratch with whole grapes) wine. When I get a chance to sample later it will kill the pain from my aching muscles. vance
  18. A friend of mine has a modular home with what sounds like the same kind of furnace in her hall way. Its as loud as a jet engine and makes the same series of clicks you describe when starting. She had it checked several time and apparently this is "normal". I did some research on line and found a replacement washable foam filter that did cut down on the noise. vance
  19. When I holed mine and it leaked before the hole, I just put a tube in it and voila no leaks. vance
  20. I am NOT a "nice fish"poster and the guys who used reply to every post to run up their post count seem to have faded away, but I do read most posts but I don't reply because after a few nice fish replies it seems redundant. The music and political posts I never read but the engine repair posts I always read and only reply if I know something about the problem. In my minds eye the views of a post far out weight the reply. vance
  21. I have used Krown for 15yrs and I didn't have any rust on my previous truck or on the 6 yr old truck I have now. But like anything you have to find a GOOD shop to get it done. vance
  22. In the winter I put a 150 watt incandescent bulb in the lite fixture and Leave it on. It has to get below -20 out side for the garage to get down to zero and I know that because I have a wireless thermometer in the garage. vance
  23. Basically for the same reasons I sold my boat last year,I loved that boat and I had a tear in my eye when it rolled away so I can feel your pain. vance
