  1. Depends on he phone....is it 8gb, 16gb, or 64gb? I think those were the storage options back then. It also depends on what resolution you're using to take pictures...higher the res., the fewer the pics.
  2. That's a good point. Even my mechanic said that unless you're towing every week, the additional costs (from purchase to maintenance) just doesn't justify going diesel. I still want one though...lol
  3. I've got the 3.42 gears set in my Silverado and no complaints towing. I'm not towing 5500lbs though. I'd estimate my boat at around 3500lbs(?) and it'll haul no problem. I also know there's a big difference between a bass boat and a big square RV trailer!
  4. I'm on my 4th year with NOCO, flawless so far.
  5. Get a charger that 1) has the same number of banks as you have 12V batteries and, 2) has at least 10 amps PER bank. The most common battery arrangement is to have your electronics, livewell pumps, etc. running off your starter battery. If you want a separate battery and have the room, no problem. But how you fish has a lot to do with how you charge your starter battery. If you troll a lot, your outboard may do a good enough job. I don't, so running 6 minutes down the lake and fishing for 4 hours won't work. I have 3 batteries for the 36V troller and one for everything else...I use the NOCO Genius 4 - four bank, 40 amp charger and all my batteries get refreshed after every outing.
  6. Congrats!!!
  7. That's $2.58/lb!! There's the problem right there. That POS should be covering the entire cost of the investigation, the court costs and as a minimum, the cost of 1940 lbs of fresh fish. Great system we have...let's spend a $100,000 to recoup $5000. Grrrrrrrr
  8. You should have given her your big fish smile!! That would have sent her packing!! lol Glad you're ok and still managing to enjoy the great outdoors. There is life after fishing!!
  9. I'll bet your line is slipping on the spool. If you're using braid, do you have a length of mono at the spool? Grab a Sharpie marker and put a small dot on the edge of the spool and another on the line right beside it. Give it a yank and make it slip...if the dots don't line up, and I suspect they won't, your line is slipping on the spool.
  10. That was very close to unnoticeable. There was a very slight ting of gray in the light when looking outside but honestly, if I didn't know about it, I would not have even noticed. I drove to Hamilton between 1:45 and 2:15 and couldn't tell the difference.
  11. That's a great fish Bill. Congrats on landing that beast! I still have a Strawberry coloured Believer hidden away somewhere!
  12. Whatever you do, don't throw topwater baits. When the fish look up they'll go blind!! lol
  13. I'm with you Brian. I have what I consider fairly good equipment...Stradic Ci4, Exo's, St. Croix, Loomis, etc. but there is NO way I'm shelling out for $500+ reels and $400+ rods! The stuff I use gets USED. If i'm fishing a tournament and buddy hooks a fish, my rod gets tossed and I go for the net. No time to wrap it in it's silk bag and lay it in a custom hard cover case!! LOL We've had to dive to grab one than one rod that's gone overboard in the scramble! But that's ok, it's expected. It's been proven time and time again that the equipment does not make the fisherman.
  14. Excellent site! It has the service manual for my 200 EFI that I was going to buy! Thanks!!!
  15. Ipads do not like the heat and just like your cell phone, will shut themselves down. If you're going to mount one, which seems the obvious idea, watch the direct sunlight.
  16. My priorities with a truck are reliability, usefulness(does it do what I need), comfort, looks, price, and somewhere at the bottom of the list is fuel mileage.
  17. The thesaurus is quite helpful... Dodge: avoid duck elude evade flee give the slip hold off keep clear lay low obviate run for cover shake shake off shirk shrink from shuffle off shun sidestep skip skip out on skip town skirt stay away stay out steer clear of step aside turn aside ward off Hehe
  18. Sure. Just make do something like leave the boat keys in the truck...or remove the fuel tank if it's portable. We have lakes down here that are no outboards allowed and we use bassboats that have 200's hanging off the back. I trim it up and leave the keys in the truck.
  19. That's a good idea. In the boat I just carry booster cables because I've got three more batteries just in case the cranker goes for some reason.
  20. If you've watched the Cats, you've seen Dunkirk.
  21. Red Green was the man! I remember the show when he built a leaf blower...took a hand dryer from a washroom. Lol
  22. As big a wanker as the guy is, and despite the pain in the butt he's caused Mike, I can't think of another thing that would have given Mike the media exposure that this did. I hope this generates more business for Mike and expands his opportunities.
  23. Awesome. I love hearing about kids catching fish and kudos to the guys that take the time to make it happen.
  24. Guys like that will view the 3 month licence suspension as 25% off next years licence.
