  1. Ok, that was funny!
  2. Whenever you're faced with frustration at work, always remember that whatever you do, do it on your terms. People that react on emotion and quit are not punishing the business, just themselves. All you do is first decide if it's time to leave and if so, do it on your terms. Prepare your resume, list all the potential businesses within your acceptable driving radius and decide on a minimum salary/benefits/perks, that suit you. Again....everything on your terms. Leaving a job for a better job is far more satisfying, and rewarding, than doing it from a place of frustration. And I agree with Dan, there are businesses that appreciate loyalty. There may be people that don't but generally, they're the ones that have never spent more than a few years with one company and for good reason. Coincidentally, the company I work for just implemented a cash reward system based on years of service.
  3. That's a really nice, clean fish. Great job.
  4. ^^^ Yes, the ref's wear headphones and are talking to guys with much better access to the different views and details. I think the Ipads are just so the refs can follow along with the explanations. I think they get more right than wrong...to me, the weirdness is in the rules, not the rulings.
  5. With cutting edge technology like that they should be calling YOU!!
  6. Pens sure got lucky getting the win tonight. Getting no shots on net for 37 minutes including a whole period is crazy!
  7. Super nice slice of heaven you have there!!!
  8. Same on Lake O and the Niagara Bar.
  9. Interesting that John Scott was retired before anyone asked his opinion about hockey! lol
  10. Wow, it's starting rain...how unusual!!

It was real dark and stormy in Beamsville, but next to nothing in St Catharines

  11. John, let me know if you don't find a member here to help you out. I grew up in Flesherton/Eugenia and have a good friend that has had a service business there for 30+ years...he probably knows all the best local contractors.
  12. I use sailflow...The map is good for visualizing the change in wind direction.
  13. All teasing aside, I've said a couple times Ottawa blew a big opportunity and this article leans toward that as well. I think early in the playoffs it's more about who you draw. I would have preferred the Leafs to face Boston than the Caps for sure. The way they played I'd have bet good money the Leafs would have gone to the second round. And look at Chicago?? Wow Yup, Ottawa had a great chance to get to the finals and then who knows? I don't think they'd put he Preds away but stranger things have happened. They won't get this lucky two years in a row.
  14. Is there a prize for that?? LOL I said it all year.....it doesn't matter if you place 2nd or dead last, NOBODY cares. There's only one Stanley Cup and whether your team takes the President Cup winners to 6 games, or the reigning Stanley Cup champs to 7, THEY STILL LOST. So break out the clubs Ottawa!!!! It's tee time!!!!
  15. HAHAHA ... Don't be so touchy!! Maybe I decided to wear the same rose coloured glasses you've had on since last September!! Games 7 Stats: Faceoffs - PENS @ 51.9% Power Plays - PENS @ 1-1 (Ottawa 0-2) Hits - PENS 44 (Ottawa 23) Shots - PENS (Ottawa 27) Maybe you should brush up on your hockey knowledge and look a little deeper!!!!! Having a goalie save their butts and drag the beating into double OT is NOT a big bragging point. Remember the 7-0 thrashing??? Last night could have easily have been a carbon copy of that...Ottawa was ONE player away from a complete CHOKE!!! Stats don't lie
  16. Yup...Anderson. Oh and man is Ottawa LUCKY...the amount of posts, crossbars and stray sticks the puck hit without going in was amazing. They'll do ok next year, but this year was there real opportunity imo
  17. This is the worst spring for rain I can remember. This weekend is looking so-so on Saturday and ~15mm more rain for Sunday. Oh and east winds for good measure. So now the forecast shows the possibility of rain for 5 of the next 7 days! In previous years, I'd ignore the rain forecasts but this year were getting it big time!! Here's hoping June is different.
  18. Who's whining??? Sens are OUT!!! WooHoo!!!!! Ottawa may be proud of them, just not proud enough to go to the games! LOL
  19. What a great game! Honestly, Ottawa didn't deserve the win. The Pens dominated the scoring chances and the best team won. Ottawa really blew it this year...they had the easiest route to the finals until they got to the Pens. Good news....Ottawa sucking has given me another series to watch!!!! Bring on the FINALS!!!! Dear Ottawa, Thanks again for CHOKING!!!!
  20. You hope law enforcement does me or my family???? What does that even mean??? LOL If the worse thing that ever happens is they ASK to search, I really have nothing to worry about. But good job trying to keep the whole alarmist view on civil rights going and side-stepping the fact YOU told them they could search.
  21. More Bull...forget the ifs and buts...DID you give them permission? You said you did!! NOT a rights violation! Stop conjuring up alternate scenarios to try to justify your twisted story. And now you're saying the search is ok BUT THEY SHOULD HAVE STOPPED AFTER A FEW SECONDS??? LMAO Like I said complete Bull Congrats to the CO's on following the letter of the law and working to protect our resources!!! I wish there were more of you and the inspections were more frequent!!
  22. Why not??? This was my point...I read your original post and as it's highlighted below, YOU ADMITTED TO GIVING THEM PERMISSION. Just like you have the right to say no, they have the right to have you sit on the side of the highway and wait for a warrant. And guess what, if it's not a dwelling and they believe waiting to search could jeopardize the investigation/evidence, they can search without a warrant!! So they did everything to the book...they asked...you said no...they said you'll have to wait for a warrant, and you said go ahead...YOUR words. So what's your beef and all this huffing and puffing about civil rights when you gave them permission?? Or maybe your story is complete Bull? Yeah, this is the most likely scenario. So for someone that obviously backed down because they were willing to get a warrant yet didn't have to, smart call on saving the .25 to call a lawyer... Oh, and my guess is they weren't upset they didn't find anything, they were upset that some guy with less than a teaspoon of knowledge about civil rights, the Ontario Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, and the limitations of enforcement within the Act by CO's, thought he'd play Johnnie Cochran and waste valuable time and resources. This has nothing to do with rights being disregarded.
  23. You believe they didn't have the legal right to search your boat?
  24. Seems so simple...all the CO's have to do is search the dishonest people. Can we get special badges or a secret handshake so they know to leave us alone? Silly officers. lol
