Just know that it is not possible to buy a US boat that is already in Canada. Meeting at customs should(?) be ok but certainly worth a call first.

Walleye weren’t biting worms or minnows

Very nice! You guys sure figured them out. BTW, GREAT hat. I've looked for a decent hat just like that but can't find one that fits me. -
For "poor anglers" that can't afford $1100 for a lure
grimsbylander replied to Snidley's topic in General Discussion
True. All you have to do is spend $250,000 to get it. -
Isn't that the truth! I remember thinking we were soooo high tech when we got the power rotary antennae on the house! Change the channel = spin the dial! haha

Marinas cannot be used for recreational boating

The new double mutant Covid variant is in BC...they can now halts flights coming in. -
LG is not a quality product anymore. The local appliance repair guy won't come out and even look at them. The old fridges that dimmed the lights when the compressor kicked in lasted forever!

I might have left it on. On a high gunnel boat I like the idea of having a good solid ladder because hey, you never know. Not the first guy to go overboard reaching for something. Safety first.

Hell, it IS longer.

My condolences Dan. Very sorry to hear about your loss and that this difficult time has been made even worse for you.

Fisherman isn't all that wrong here. If I was thinking of going to the US fishing again this spring (Chautauqua), I would not be relying on a US side fishing forum to tell me what to expect as a Canadian crossing the border. How the heck would they know?? Check out Canada Border Services Agency(CBSA) Here's the link... CSBA The border wait times at the Queenston Lewiston bridge are between 10 minutes and 5 months LOL

The ultimate status symbol?? A lure? lol I guess you hook it on a chain and wear it around your neck. The crazy part is, they'll sell them.

What are some good Lake Simcoe shore spots?
grimsbylander replied to Flixx's topic in General Discussion
And really, really far! -
So far it's either a) we've yelled enough insults they should know by now, and b) I would prefer not to be forced to learn how to use a boat launch. I get just whining about is the answer! 🤣

Crazy to see that much movement. IMG_1884.mov

I disagree. The far majority of issues are from people that don't know better so calling them stupid is unfair. We have almost useless boating card system that could to be expanded to include boat launch etiquette. Yelling abuses at people is not education.

Where I used to fish brookies involved miles of hiking through cedar trees and underbrush following little blue line creeks. That rod is waaaaay to nice for that!!! lol BTW Spiel, I had a buddy over for a beer last week... Noel says hello. I want to go to Alaska too!!

I'm with Bill...drives my mad when people are messing around on the ramp. I was waiting to get out at Crystal Beach's double ramp once and the two boats were taking forever. I tied up on the backside of the dock, hopped in the truck and split the difference between them. I was out before either one but even by self, I can load or unload my Ranger in seconds.

My wife asked me if for a million dollars I could have sex with a random woman that was a total stranger. I said sure, but I don’t have that much money.

Just an observation but a few years ago(10-13?) my neighbour put on a new roof and chose 25 year shingles because "It was her last roof" she had to do. Well they're coming to reshingle this spring. Bottom line, take the advertised year length and divide it by two. Not the first time I've heard of this. jmho

My first Baitcaster ready for spooling!
grimsbylander replied to siwash's topic in General Discussion
It’s spring and they’ll be bird nests everywhere! Lol Another vote for cheap mono. The only thing I’ll add is this...if you know someone that is proficient with a baitcaster, after you’re all spoiled up ask for a quick lesson. This could save you a boat load of trial and error not to mention fishing line. -
All I can picture is me sitting on a lake jigging and thinking how convenient that someone plowed a nice big path. Hey what’s that noise????

The Niagara ice boom is still there and will be for a bit longer by the looks of it. -
Maybe should have mixed in a bit of Warfarin? Looks fine...fish won't care anyway!
