  1. I don’t have the game or Xbox, just joking around. But hey, if this continues who knows?! Good eye!! Lol I also forgot to blur out the background!!
  2. Good for you. Unfortunately, these rules are not being put in place for the people that have common sense, it’s for those that don’t. There’s plenty of pics online of people gathering in public parks to justify them shutting down public areas. I get it, everyone on here is an angel and will do it right. Most won’t however hence the new rules.
  3. Picked up some new equipment and hit the lake. Weather was great and didn't get close to a single person. Only stopped once to let the dog out.
  4. Z521?? I believe the Z21 went out of production in around 2008/9. What's crazy now is you can add 20% of the total package price in accessories alone.
  5. This is a ridiculously selfish request...and listing the health benefits of boating is even more asinine when you compare them against the risk of contracting or spreading the virus . It's a pandemic; stay in. Let's make the HUGE sacrifice of not hobby fishing in order to possibly save people's lives.
  6. Though I never met him, I feel I still knew him through his work. Like many of you, his name was synonymous with OOD and as a teenager, his articles took me places my life couldn’t allow. RIP Mr. Kerr.
  7. I hate hearing about sales like this...I have so much stuff now I can’t justify buying more...but I wanna!!!
  8. Manufacturers did not go offshore to make the same margins. The cost of goods sold and retail prices really have nothing to do with each other. The cost of goods sold is measured as contribution margin and like any company the higher the CM the better. Retail pricing is what the market will bear based on the value proposition of the product..ie quality, service or reliability. Companies are finally seeing that the costs associated with offshore manufacturing are far greater than initially calculated. The cost of shipping has increased, scrap rates, warranty work, training, logistics management, supply management, and the one we all hate...cost of quality. Hence many companies are in fact retreating to N. America and using technology to lower the cost of goods sold instead of cheaper labour. The really smart manufacturers are increasing the number of key performance indicators (KPI) and starting to measure things like machine and labour efficiencies, and setup variances. Productivity is key. Good news for Canada is the exchange rate...yes i know it kills us for buying US products, but US companies see Canadian businesses as a great place for sourcing product. This good news for Canadian manufacturers and their employees. US companies get roughly a 15% discount on exchange alone when they buy Canadian. Sorry for the long winded explanation...I spent a lot of time working to fix manufacturing companies that were too fat and inefficient to make money.
  9. Great looking way to wait out the virus! Well done.
  10. ^^^ I like that second pic of your boat “floating” beside the dock. Nice boat 👍🏻
  11. Nice fish and report Dave. The elbow cop will be along shortly. 😂
  12. I did work for Argo and spent time in the factory talking to the manufacturer about them. Short story, they are good at a lot of conditions but not great at any. They float, but are a poor substitute for an old 12’ aluminum boat. Same for land...four wheelers of side by sides are far superior...even with a trailer behind. Think about what you need it to do. If you need one vehicle for multiple tasks, an Argo is an excellent option.
  13. ^^^ 100% correct. When building a rink, think freezing rain...not flood. when my boys were young, every year I built a backyard rink with boards and lights. The rink had a 2’ slope from one end to the other! You learn fast that a fine spray is the way to go.
  14. Most of the older vehicles were much heavier than the identical models offered today. Since towing is about the torque required to move the boat and the weight required to control the boat, it makes sense. I sure wouldn’t consider towing a big ‘ol 1974 glass boat with a 2020 Chevy Malibu at 25% lighter than the same car from that period and its 1.5L standard engine. It’s apples to oranges.
  15. Ah man....I'm just about there! lol
  16. Looks good. Thanks for the heads up. Working our way through Peaky Blinders still!
  17. As a teen, my buddy had a '76 Nova with no weather stripping around the doors. We had snow brushes to do the INSIDE.
  18. Sad news. He understood what it meant to build a brand and was an incredible influence on bass fishing in N. America. RIP
  19. Nice boat...love those deep V Starcrafts.
  20. I’m no expert on Cranberry, in fact, I only prefished it a few years ago for a Renegade tournament. Ended up fishing Dog instead. I heard there are some decent smallies in Cranberry but they don’t stack up until later in the fall and during the summer they’re invisible! Lol
  21. Welcome back Roy. Glad everything is good.
  22. Ohio, offered to help when I can and wanted to show an example what fun it can be building computers at home, especially with family. Sorry for your confusion.
