From what I can tell, Kadri should just shut up, sign a deal for two years and play. He will have the team by the short and curlys in two years, if he performs at the expected level. That's when the sun will shine for him and he will make alot of hay... I just don't get the short sightedness. HH

My parents took many weekend get aways to the LAke in the 80's. They loved to fish that lake and concentrated on Perch. Many a feed of perch from that lake. Too bad it has worked out that way... hopefully mother nature finds a way to reclaim the lake. Thanks for the post. HH

I have a Panasonic Plasma TV in 46in scale. It's been a great tv, no issues, no problems. With all that said, the only complaint I have with the plasma is that it generates a great deal of heat. Now that's fine in the cooler months, helps to keep the TV room warm, but in the warmer months, you can sure feel the heat coming off that screen, even with the A/C on. I also have to believe that plasma is much less efficient then other systems. HH

Very nice Bernie... when do we leave?! LOL HH

Since Erie is chalk full of fish that size, it is normal to catch them that big. Also, unlike many other bodies of water, Lake Erie Pickereyes taste great in that size range as well. I agree that in most bosies of water, biggins get put back... Erie is an acception to the rule. HH Edit to add.... NICE CATCH!!!! Tummy is growling already!

That lake can get ugly really fast! Hoping for a positive outcome... HH

That bird would cook up nice with some curry and a can of coconut milk! After about 4 hours of stewing, some slaw and rice and peas and your golden! HH -
We had our toughest day yet this year on Sunday out of Frenchmans. One Coho and one Steelie and a number of shakers was all we netted Sunday morning. We did have a number of knock offs, but couldn't seem to get the fish to hold the bait/get a good hook set. 200 to 300 ft of water seemed to be the most productive... HH

I agree with the others, slow down and get one of these... http://www.amazon.com/Precision-Trolling-The-Trollers-Bible/dp/0966301722 Also, finding 60 ft of water has helped in the past as well... and don't forget to try orange coloured blades as well! HH

Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner here... couldn't agree more! I have no idea what happened on that street car, but I do hope that we actually find out, eventually. HH -
A buddy of mine is somewhat of a "rebel" for lack of a better term. He refused to pay for the plate sticker claiming that it was a reduculous cost. Ran his company vehicle for four years before he was pulled over for not having a valid license plate sticker. The fine at the time was around $120.00. He figured that he was ahead by well over four hundred before the fine. I don't believe he has a plate sticker on his curent vehicle either.... HH

If you are bringing your kids as indicated, check out Providence Bay Beach... one of the nicest beaches anywhere! Great place to spend a day with the family and score big points with she who will be obeyed... Sorry, can't help yah re the fishing, I have only fished the far western part of the island. HH

Just some aside info for yah... if your vehicle is older than 1999, then a check engine light will not fail the test. The vehicle is subjected to the old test and can pass that as long as it meets the old requirements. Vehilce "newer" than 1999 has to be put through the "new" test. One of the (OK, only!) advantages of owning an older vehicle. HH

This^! The only advantage in my experience that Okuma has, is the large handle. It's easier to crank. I have to admit, that I am a Sealine bigot! I have not had a failure with my Diawa's and I have used them for Pickereyes and Lake O trolling. They are bullet proof. Maybe my Okuma experience is unique, but mine seem to realy dislike a lot of tension on a troll, ie planer boards. My anit-reverse has been hit or miss since the day I first used it. For an extra 20-30 bucks, you can get a Sealine and know that you have a reel that will last a life time. Just my 2 cents. HH

Such beautiful wood... thanks for posting the pics! As much as today's boats have their advantages, the look of all that wood and the craftmanship required to build it and restore it are something I can only admire. Bernie posted a "mod" for those boats that includes a steam engine to drive it... was very cool as well! HH

Excellent ideas so far guys, thanks for spreading your expertise! One of my families favorite things falls into the same sort of things as breaded perch... breaded cauliflower! Cut it down into individual floret’s (sp) and then wash the cauliflower, leaving some moisture on them. Season with salt (Kosher), pepper and garlic powder and let sit for an hour or two. Bread them with, flour, egg wash, then your choice of bread crumbs, we like Panko. Brown them in hot oil, then place them in a 325 degree oven for 20-30 minutes to ensure that they are cooked through. Sprinkle with salt before serving. We use this recipe as a side dish for many meals; especially roast beef and mushroom gravy... They Are Awesome! Enjoy... HH
