I got the same call, claiming they were calling from Microsoft. Is said, really, Microsoft is calling little ole me? Yup, we're calling from Microsoft because your computer is infected and is infecting the entire internet. I couldn't help but laugh, but carried on... So I asked her, how did Microsoft get my phone number? I know for a fact that at no time when registering my operating system, does Microsoft ask for my personal information, specifically my phone number. She insisted that I did. Once again, I couldn't help myself and started to laugh, a lot. She took offense to that and insisted that she was calling from Microsoft. I said, ok, what operating systems is my computer running? She tried to deflect the question essentially saying that I was insulting her and Microsoft with my questions. After another good hardy chest laugh, I hung up. I have to wonder if any of these folks have mirrors in their homes and how the heck they can walk by it, look at themselves and not cringe and their humanity(or lack there of!). HH

I could watch the three sisters from Quebec all day, any day! To me, they are what being Canadian and an Olympian are all about... and they are HOT! LOL HH

That makes sense Zenon, however what I can't get my head around is the fact that as a residential consumer, paying the highest rate of the day when I fire up my stove/oven, essentially equates to me and my family subsidising the province's industries power bills. So, if I need to save money and still do the day to day living thing, according to our wonderful provincial government, I should be doing laundry in the middle of the night or weekends. I guess I should also alter my family's meal times so I can save money there as well! Dinner will be at 3:00pm or after 8:00pm. And the price of hydro is expected to rise by 50% in the next decade... Now, according to the news this morning, the Hydro workers could well be on strike soon! Pickering is past it's due date to be de-commissioned, Bruce is privately owned (thanks Mike Harris!) Darlington has so many cost over runs, I could go on. Yet those "in the know" want me and my family to pay pay pay, while they cut/subsidize private industry. Am I missing something here? HH

We'll stop you when you're wrong O.I.! HH

Hey Cliff, I have a Jimmy you can run into anytime... I'll take $900.00 and call it even! LOL Take the advice here and just forget about it... the onus is on him to follow up. HH

I was advised by a friend in the know to stay as far away from that as possible Cliff. When I bought my current house, the previous owner had the "Peak Saver" installed on the A/C. Well, the A/C bought the farm within a week of us moving in and I had to get it replaced. The tech who installed the A/C removed the "Peak Saver" from the circuit and it is still resting comfortably in my garage! I should just throw the darned thing out! I was also advised to keep my analog thermostat and it's much less likely to go fubar then the more sophisticated digital ones. HH

Good to see Canada has got its traditional winter back!

Let's hope that the cold winter we have had, has an impact on that nasty Horned Beatle eating up our trees...and yes, a sudden warm spell would be a potential disaster for many. HH -
buying a new home. wife and i fighting. nf

I remember back in high school, they would separate the boys from the girls for "sex ed". I have come to believe over time that there was far less sex ed going on and what I suspect was really simply female teachers showing the girls the real way of the world and how to get what you want. You fill in the blanks! That's my theory and I'm stickin with it! LOL HH -

You indicated that you are seeking a house to make into a home for you, your with and the kids to come. I fail to understand how buying a fixer upper is in anyway going to pay you back. By the time the kids have grown up and are off to school or out on there own, everything you did when you intially moved in, will be dated, worn and need replacing. My advice, buy a turn key home that only requires small fixes to meet your expectations and lifestyle. I always tell folks to live in a new to them house for atleast a year, before you decide to make any major changes. Time will teach you what you really want/need. If it was me, I'd be focused on what will make my family happiest in the new home and endless reno's is definately not going to do that. You already know what's not going to make them/her happy. HH -
It was a survival boat made of butter... HH

I know not what demons he dealt with in his life, I have to think they were pretty powerful. It's a shame that such talent is now gone and even more so, for his family. One of my favorite actors... if he was in a film, you just knew it would be a good film. He will be missed. HH

Some Launch Ramp Entertainment for a Winters Day. :)

Ha Ha!!! Ipperwash is a very entertaining place! If they had left the first truck in the water a little longer, it would have floated out to the first sand bar and they could have had a picnic! Those tractor guys are there every weekend in the summer... the smart boaters just pay the guys some $$ and are done with it. The other guys provide entertainment for the sun babies! LOL HH -
I'm in! Just gotta show me where the finish line is! Lemon drops will have to be afterwards... don't want to spill any! But it would look pretty funny spinning around with a lemon wedge stuck in my teeth! HH

best to be aware of where the muffler is, before mounting your steed! I wonder if Brian can make a seat for his cordless drill!? Thanks for the laugh! HH

That's called hedging your bets! Like guessing on the stock market, except you're not investing money (well you are to some degree!) but time. What ever works for you I guess! HH -
As always, a great report! Thanks for taking the time, we appreciate it! HH

And an extra eye for perch bait! HH

MMMMMM... popcorn Pickereye! HH

That was my first thought as well! HH

Great video and thanks much for sharing! You guys were fortunate you had the conditions you had that day! Rarely does the Bay offer such calm conditions. With four guys in the boat, it could have gotten messy! Again, thanks for the video! HH

Keep an eye on Costco Bill. My brother picked up the same motor as in the pic above, a Merc at Costco for a song. Hit and miss I know, but well worth the look see. HH
