  1. Why Cliff, did he try and take over the front of Will's boat! LOL HH
  2. Yah, but isn't that your buddy Will? HH
  3. That article although rather long, sure does shed some light on the ways of these people. It doesn't change my mind on how to deal with them in the future, but I think I understand where they are coming from and where they would want the world to go.... HH
  4. If you were ever hoping to see London as it should be, I would suggest going sooner than later as the same challenges being faced by France, are occurring in London. A simple youtube search will net you more than enough information to make an informed decision. Another bit of food for thought... if I heard correctly on the weekend, the President of France declared war on ISIS.... as a fellow member of NATO, we would be obligated to assist France in any way needed, based on article five of the NATO constitution. Justin may not have a choice! HH
  5. I've got a pair I bought in the 90's, I broke them two winters ago. Being the cheap skate that I am, I have to wonder if their customer service would be so good as to take care of me as well? HH
  6. If this winning keeps up, we might hear from MuskyMatt again! HH
  7. I bet you enjoyed every hour out there Wayne. The sound of the water laping against the boat... lord knows you would hear it as you can't tell you engines are running unless you hear it pissing! Congrats to you and Andy on the fish. You didn't by chance pluck an eye ball for perch bait? HH
  8. It will be interesting to see how MLB responds to this incident. They have fairly recently employed a policy as to how they will deal with this sort of thing... Looks like Jose is going to be the first to see it in action. HH
  9. There are two major telecom companies in Canada and both don't exactly have the best customer experience happening. Roger's, if they were smart would take advantage of the good will obtained by the Jays and fund a winning team.... never mind, I did say "if they were smart". HH
  10. Awesome report Drew! Many thanks for taking the time to share with us! OT for a second... I have niece who has taken up residence in Prince Rupert and i have a standing invite to go there. She has many first nations friends who are outdoors man and has shown me pics of 80lb Halibut, chinnys etc... Any idea if they catch Sturgeon in the Prince Rupert area? HH
  11. A light touch with a rubber mallet will also work.... and doesn't leave a mark! LOL HH
  12. Another thought... don't let the baby sleep too long during the afternoon nap. Hour to hour and a half max. Just enough to take off the edge. HH
  13. Here's what worked for us. I would do the last feeding in the evening, sending my wife to bed before the baby went down. I would feed the baby formula, which every doctor will tell you lasts longer then breast milk. Mom and baby would sleep until 2-3 am, breast fed and back down until 7:00am. Crying is excellent for lung development and should not be overly discouraged. Based on the OP, it sounds to me like that baby is waking up hungry. HH
  14. Hmmmm open water on Quinte in December and January.....beats running the boat up on the ice, jumping up and down on the bow to break the ice, to get to open water! HH
  15. Randy, that design has been upgraded. Science has discovered that too much foil at the crown of the head can over load the wearer... you must employ the marshmallow filter. Simply stick the marshmallow to the very centre of the hat, it will deflect the reflected waves to disperse the signal evenly... also works a bait container when out on the water. Keeps the marshmallow handy. HH
  16. You're kidding right? If you believe for a second that any more money spent on licenses would be put into the MNR, you've been drinking too much Koolaid! The only difference the extra roughly $450 a year would make, would be in our wallets. HH
  17. Those fish must know my neighbour's dog! I had no idea that fish would also follow a laser pointer... more fun to come! Thanks for posting! HH
  18. Oh, I get that, but I'm pretty sure that they haven't lowered the ticket prices to reflect the lower salaries being paid to the players... oh, never mind, the plethora of suits being paid big money ate up that "extra" dough... I've seen my share of "rebuilds" over the years and maybe, they will get it right this time. History suggests it's unlikely though. I bet the folks at Bell are drooling over the tv numbers the Jays drew and I get that the Jays are a national team, but the Leafs draw well across the country and should they ever get to the playoffs and deep into them, the numbers would be huge. With that said, I have to wonder how long Bell is going to sit around and wait for the current regime to show some consistent winning. The two headed monster they have for ownership could start eating each other in a fight for tv ratings. HH
  19. If the Leaf's only knew that telling their fan base that they would be sucking for some time to come years ago, I be they would have had banners displayed everywhere! Interesting how the fan base is allowing them to suck and no jerseys on the ice and no waffles being thrown. HH
  20. So I have been doing it wrong all along! I am going to have to re-arrange my tackle box, so I have a section for my marshmallows. LOL HH
  21. You might want to re-think that... it seems as though the Argentinians are still a bit butt hurt over the last confrontation and are once again, claiming the Falklands are theirs. HH
  22. Yesterday's news conference did little to ease my concerns over the hiring of Shapiro. There is not doubt that the man has the gift of the gab and is a polished exec. He sure does know what people want to hear! His announcements regarding Lacava and Gibby may or may not have been genuine, but in my mind, he had little to no other options if he was in any way going to play to the hostile crowd. I'm still on the fence about this guy, but given the lack of choices the fans have at this point, I'm still going to give him the benefit of the doubt. I hope he doesn't disappoint. HH On a side note, I have to wonder if AA will attend the upcoming baseball meetings where historically, the Exec of the Year receives their accolades. Probably yet another "awkward moment".
  23. I had to stop using IE as it would not let me quote a post. Firefox and all is well. HH
  24. Frank, you have to look at the time lines.... Last November, Rogers tried to replace Beeston with The Cubs GM. They had to ask permission to do so from the Cub's owner as their GM was under contract. Turns out that the owner of the Cubs is a very good friend of Beestons and he let Beeston know about the call. Frankly (no pun intended!), that pissed off both Beeston and AA. Showed a complete lack of class and given Beeston's loyalty to the Jays, it was a really stupid move. Fast forward to May/June timeline and now Rogers has a full blown search on, to replace Beeston. Remember, at that time, the Jays were a sub 500 team with a fairly large payroll. Their record at the indicated that they weren't going to be a playoff team and that they would again, lose money this year. Rogers finds Shapiro, who is accustomed to dealing with a limited budget and he tells Rogers what they want to hear... he can make the Jays a money maker. I took the better part of two to three months to get Shapiro's package together and guess what, the Jays are on a roll and people are coming to the park and watching on TV. The folks at Rogers were probably the most surprised people on the planet. They were caught completely off guard and have been in damage control since August, when they announced the signing of Shapiro. A little back history here... AA worked in his family business, HVAC and left it as he didn't feel it was the right career for him. He is a man of simple needs and is steadfast in his belief that he has to enjoy what he is doing. He could not see himself working for Rogers after the way they treated Beeston. I'm wiling to be that AA had made his mind up long before Shapiro was announced and that's why both he and Beeston, opened up and made the big trades. Hope that makes sense. HH
  25. I've heard that he has to use a cane on stage, just to walk and stand up. He also recently stopped a show after one song, he was not physically able to stand. He told the fans that didn't want to disappoint them, but he could not put on a show. I hope that he can take some time off and get better, but the many years of abuse may well have taken their toll... he says he only drinks vodka these days..... HH
