It'll be interesting to see what an electric outboard will look like in 20 years... HH -
Eastern Spiny Softshell Turtle on Endangered list
Headhunter replied to Dave Bailey's topic in General Discussion
Growing up in London, I knew of a few places that had decent numbers of Soft Shell, Painted and of course Snapping Turtles. The Soft shells are really neat critters and just as vicious as a snapper! Thanks for the heads up... HH -
Try rubbing a ripe tomato on to the toasted garlic bread, the same way you would rub the garlic on the toast. HH

Simon, check the transom on the Crestliner to ensure that it is solid and dry. FishnSled runs a Fishhawk and I think it has been a very good boat for him. He should chime in on this thread. I know he recently had the transom replaced as they don't seal the top of the transom at the factory. Easy fix if caught soon enough. Remove the metal cap on the transom and put in a rubber seal along the top. Re-attach the metal cap and it should be good for some time HH

I was never a fan of hot dogs, but this isn't going to change my mind! Try not to think of this when you are roasting your dog over an open fire camping! http://www.littlethings.com/hot-dogs-are-made/?utm_source=kit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=shocking HH

I have often wondered what became of him as we hadn't seen him around here for a bit. Some found him a bit caustic, I found him refreshing. He has been missed and now will forever be missed. Condolences to his friends and family. HH

My brother stay there for a week every year, he has a buddy with a cottage on Horwood. He tells me that Pickereyes can be caught all day long on a jig and a minnow, that's it! They set minnow traps to collect their own... can catch them off their dock, jig and minnow. HH

Weekend at Bernie's!!!!!! HH

Watching the news last night and one of the shops talked about only keeping a minimal amount of "stock" in the store, in case the cops raid them, they can't take all their product and put them out of business. They also talked about opening shops for a short time and using multiple locations to avoid police. HH

I don't remember them ever using a metal lip on their jointed lures, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. I recall larger stick type baits, mostly oriented toward salt water fishing having metal lips, but not the jointed ones. You may have a decent find there... HH

We were heading up hwy 11 on Friday on our way to yet another "Weekend at Bernie's. It was mid morning and as we were just outside of Huntsville, I spotted a black bear sitting just off the side of the road, watching the traffic go by! Seemed a little out of place, but a neat thing to see anyway. HH

Headhunter replied to huzzsaba's topic in General Discussion
A buddy of mine is a pilot for Air Canada, he uses Intellicast. I have found it to be far more accurate then any others and if you take some time to explore the site, you will find more than enough info to make plans. http://www.intellicast.com/Local/WxMap.aspx?latitude=39&longitude=-97&zoomLevel=4&opacity=1&basemap=0014&layers=0039 HH -

Truly sad news for all, my heart goes out to his family. Funny, I play in a bar band doing covers for the beer swilling masses and every night, someone calls out for a TH song. Old and young, they are asking us for TH songs. HH

My biggest pet peeve is getting on to the express way and folks in front of me doing 50K! They putter along the on ramp and then hit the gas at the very last minute, to get to 80K and then try and merge. I don't care if you have a death wish, merge onto the highway at 80k and get yerself killed... but don't take me out with yah! Why some people think they are more important than anyone else is also mind boggling! HH PS... don't forget the unicorns that jump in front of folks to! Has to be the reason they hit their brakes!!!!

Glad you were able to instill some fishing content into this thread! Hh -
Provincial Privacy Commissioner's office would be a call I'd make, if for no other reason than to have the incident recorded within their database. I agree with others, if you want to keep your job, calm down and ask for a meeting with HR to GET THEIR ADVICE AS TO HOW TO HANDLE THIS WITHIN THE COMPANY. If you want to lose your job, go in their guns a blazing. HH

Ontario to spend $7-billion on sweeping climate change plan
Headhunter replied to fishnsled's topic in General Discussion
Anyone want to bet that when it is all said and done, that 7Billion ends up being close to double that? I can say that with a degree of certainty as their track record of delivering ANYTHING, is pretty abysmal. Someone earlier mentioned $1000/month hydro bills, I thinkin that soon enough, that'll be a bargain! Off for my "grumpy old man nap".... HH -
