Speaking of "roundabouts"... My wife and I were in Paris France and had hired a cab to take us to the airport. Our hotel was just outside of the Louvre, near the 12 lane roundabout. We get in the cab, it's a mini-van. It's also a standard. So we head to the roundabout, it's packed with cars, hardly moving. Our driver is chatting on his cell phone, smoking a ciggy and drinking a coffee all the while driving us! I look out the side window of the van, we are so close to the car next to us, I was sure you wouldn't be able to slip a sheet of paper between the two. I said to the driver, "you guys must excellent drivers to able to negotiate this kind of traffic". His response, "we killed all the bad drivers here!" I lol and just looked at the floor of the van... it was too much for this guy to watch! HH

Knowing that the weather was going to be what it was, I was out dishing candy from 6:00pm until 7:30 when the downpour hit. We had more kids this year, than the last ten! Might have been the parents directing them here as I had a bottle of "99" for the dads and a bottle of pre-mixed "chocolate martini's " for the moms. No one complained about the weather.... NOW GET OFF MY LAWN! HH

Don't get me wrong, I love the Donner! Can't say I agree with him and the numbers back me up. HH

Sweet! Congrats Simon! HH

I only caught the highlights of the game last night as I had a commitment, but Freddy did it again, passing the puck right onto the Tampa players stick and in his net. He sure isn't playing like a number one goalie! HH

Years ago we thought we'd try hitting Quinte in January... as you can see from the pic, we cleared the launch the old fashioned way, grit and determination! On a side note, we didn't do well that day at all! HH

Raising Arizona... drops mic and walks away.. HH -
So, nice to see that Freddy used the time off in the summer to work on his puck handling skills! LMAO! In the four games played to date, he has let in at least one bad goal in each of the three he has played and it could be argued that he has let in more than that! I sense a weakness between the pipes... still waiting for him to "steal" a win for the team... HH

Moon rising over Georgian Bay. Point and shoot camera, no tripod... a bit of a challenge! HH -
Let those off us who haven't done something similar/stupid in our youth, cast the first stone. I bet the ripples from the tossed stones don't even disturb the surface. HH

Mann Stretch 20's off of planner boards, 200ft behind the board and 150 out from the boat. Colour is dependent on grey or blue skies. Fish from the Hay Bay boat launch to the mouth of the bay or back in the bay near the island if you feel like casting. HH

My wife is a big fan of these guys and dragged me to the Danforth Music Hall last week to catch them live. I gotta admit, I left a fan. Just a really fun band, catchy tunes and non-stop action on stage. I hope you enjoy! HH -
I think that what Irish is leading towards is that it is generally seen as bad practice to hold large pike/musky by the mouth, without supporting the rest of the body. Bad things can happen unintentionally when the fish's weight in not being supported. That said, nice fishes! HH

I believe that he would be referring to the pier jutting out into the lake. Happy Carp'in! HH

Newfie goes to the mainland for the first time in his life (Sorry Brian!). He walks into a grocery store and walks around in amazement at all the stuff he could buy there. Heads to the meat section and see's people buying these things called "sausages". Having never had such a thing and being all the range on the mainland, he decides to buy a pack and take them back to the rock. The next day he tells his wife, honey I bought these "sauce-ages" on the mainland, they seem to be all the rage. I'm going out fishing, but when I get back, I'd like to try those "sauce-ages for dinner. Off he trots out the door. He comes home from fishing, sits down at the table and his wife drops the cooked "sauce-ages" down in front of him. He looks at the "sauce-ages" and there is nothing there but a pile of skin and a puddle of grease. He asks his wife "what happened to my "sauce-ages"? Wife replies "well, once you cut the head off and gut 'em, there's not a whole lot left!" HH

Justin Trudeau was struck by lightning and killed. The coroner was called to view the body at the morgue. They opened the hatch, pulled the body out and pulled back the cover. "I thought he was struck by lightning by lightning" said the coroner, "so why is he smiling?" "He thought he was having his picture taken", said the attendant. HH

carp fishing kawartha lakes/London area.
Headhunter replied to Harrybsfc's topic in General Discussion
In London, try fishing the train bridge in Greenway Park. Slightly down stream of the bridge. Lots of carp and other coarse fish. HH PS... they like dew worms! -
Huh? HH

I rarely concern myself with bikes as they usually aren't behind me for more than 10 seconds. I find most of them running right down the line separating two lanes as they weave their way through traffic at speeds well beyond the limit. HH
