  1. Buddy's Dodge Ram's engine light came on 6 months into ownership. After numerous trips to the dealer, solution that lasted more than a decade was to put black electrical tape on the instrument panel lens!!!!! Just be sure not to get glossy tape! LOL HH
  2. Unfortunately for some, the long term health affects can be debilitating/life shortening. Organ damage among them. It seems to me that after having endured what we have to date, it would be silly to stop taking precautions and give up the gains we have made so far. One only has to look at how different countries have responded to the pandemic to see what has worked and what hasn't. Last thought... we are mostly Canadians here and we are accustomed to wearing balaclava's and such when conditions warrant. Just think that the conditions do warrant masks and keep on keepin on... HH
  3. My wife's family cottage on Sturgeon was right down the road of Eddies. She told me that he would load up his golf cart with his dogs and go out and visit the neighbours to the delight of all the kids. Great man! HH
  4. Well, it's really simple. When we first stated this odyssey, PPE was not readily available and the concern was that those who really need it ( health pros) wouldn't have access to it, if the general public started to buy up what ever they can. We have reached a point where PPE is available to all, so the big minds are telling us to use PPE. Not that complicated. As far as not knowing anyone who has died of the disease...please feel free to join my family as soon as we get the go ahead to hold a memorial for my wife's aunt. HH
  5. We're just starting season three of this show. https://www.netflix.com/ca/title/80192098 Got sucked in and now hooked. HH
  6. If you're refusing to wear a mask due to concerns your brain won't get enough oxygen, I think that ship has already sailed. HH
  7. OL, I suggest you source one of these... https://www.amazon.ca/Executioner-Swat-Mosquito-Swatter-Zapper/dp/B003TT3GDC Not only do they fry wasps, but they provide hours of entertainment during the dull times. A mosquito will incinerate providing you with the satisfaction of knowing that one won't bother you again. Been through the cheap ones, waste of money. Although pricey, the Executioner will last forever and work best with good quality batteries. Of note... don't touch the rails when the button is pushed, it will burn you, don't ask how I know! (I have three of them) HH Edit to add... they had them at BPS, but it has been a long time since I have been there...
  8. Menu bar on the right and click radar... I hope that works! LOL HH
  9. Keep an eye out this afternoon as a cold front is heading our way and it looks nasty! https://www.wunderground.com/wundermap?lat=43.647&lon=-79.4&zoom=8&pin=&rad=1&rad.type=00Q&wxsn=0&svr=0&cams=0&sat=0&riv=0&mm=0&hur=0 HH
  10. Cat fish bait! HH
  11. You nailed it Brian... HH
  12. Got out with FishnSled last week, launched outta Whitby for an after work evening fish. Shore temps were stupid hot, but it was quite nice on the lake. After the five mile run out, pretty quiet until an 8 lb Rainbow hit the rigger. Stayed quiet until we decided to start trolling in as it was getting late. Triple header of Chinnies made for a few minutes of chaos. One spit the hook and the other two made it to the boat. Was a blast and looking forward to our next trip! For some unknown reason I can't post the pic right side up! HH
  13. Yah, well my first born is 18 and he can have him... I'll let him bankrupt him with the food bill! LOL HH
  14. I might know a guy who might know a guy... HH
  15. I'd contact Bear's Den and find out what they suggest you bring. Man, I haven't been on the lower French since '78! HH
  16. What ever works for yah I guess... LOL I hope has has "back-up"! HH
  17. I use a beef and pork mixture in my Meat Loaf. I also add ketchup, mustard, tomato sauce, chopped onions, and a bunch of stuff I would have to kill you if I told you! One thing that everyone likes is adding hard boiled eggs to the centre of the loaf. Each slice will have egg in the middle. I also add a pound of bacon in a weave on top of the loaf. The guys at our GTG's always ask me to make meatloaf on our trips... HH PS... left overs get a grilling on both sides and a couple of slices of Swiss Cheese melted on top.
  18. Glad they're keeping the Shwa store open. I usually go to Gagnon's first, then get whatever else I "need" at Sail. Growing up in London, my buddies and I would ride our bikes across town to the Outdoor Store on Oxford Street. It sure beat CTC for selection and price! HH
  19. Thanks for the correction, Long term Care it is... Take a look at the attached and the number of Chartwell facilities... https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/ontario-covid19-ltc-chart-1.5557748 HH
  20. One of the largest private retirement homes here in Ontario is a company called Chartwell. They are for profit and on the board of directors is a guy named Mike Harris. Look up his comp package and you will see where the $$ went... and it didn't go to the residents! HH
  21. https://montreal.ctvnews.ca/quebec-based-sail-outdoors-inc-files-for-bankruptcy-protection-to-restructure-operations-1.4965411 HH
  22. My original door was wood as well. It faces west and as a result, it takes the most weather and sun. I knew it was time to change when my son shot a ball hockey ball through the lower pane. As I said, I didn't know the difference between doors.... Good luck with your purchase.... HH
  23. Why couldn't you just buy a regular door and apply Styrofoam sheets to the back side of the panels yourself? I fully admit that I have no experience with insulated doors, but aren't they simply insulated from the back side? Wouldn't it be cheaper to do this yourself after a trip to HD and a tube of adhesive? HH
  24. Check you coils, 30 year old boat and all! HH
