  1. Heard on the radio this afternoon that Kapi and Willie spent the day yesterday golfing in Vegas.... hopefully, hockey practice didn't get in the way of their game! LOL Nylander has been a poison to this team... do I have any specific evidence, well just the team's record since he came back last December. Watching him play is an effort in frustration, so many bad give-aways and little to no effort make things right. Dubas claimed he didn't sign him to trade him, so maybe Dubas can take him with him, to his next team! HH
  2. Which would still categorize it as a "non fishing" thread. HH
  3. You don't have to open a thread, you choose to...you can't blame others for your choices. HH
  4. Gender:Male Report post Posted 37 minutes ago response to you from the Hockey thread. The veterans are doing much better now with the current government in place. I don't believe that for one second. They are just getting dicked around by another group in power....you also chose to ignore my point about poppies being used for fund raising. HH
  5. Talk is that Brian Burke will be taking over Coaches Corner... HH
  6. Apples and oranges... the poppy drive helps to fund veterans programs as the are severely underfunded by our government. HH
  7. At .20 cents a litre more than most others nearby.... I stopped there once and got robbed for the fueI bought. HH
  8. My take on Ron's reaction was that he agreed with Don and did not see Don's intention as being racist, just Don using his limited education and vocabulary to get a point across. I think he knows Don better than any of us. If you look for racism, you will find it, but I think Don's intention was to bring to light the fact that too many people don't appreciate the life they have here or the sacrifices made by others to maintain that lifestyle. I also think that SportsNet was already looking for reason to let Don go... much easier to let him go, then let him still the pot. HH
  9. I hope some of the leafs have a good hard look at themselves as they bye to Hutch. They left him out to dry like yesterday's laundry. Already feel sorry for who-ever they get to replace him! HH
  10. I find it hard to believe that the Leafs have a web site, they can't seem to put three W's in a row! HH
  11. Speaking of "roundabouts"... My wife and I were in Paris France and had hired a cab to take us to the airport. Our hotel was just outside of the Louvre, near the 12 lane roundabout. We get in the cab, it's a mini-van. It's also a standard. So we head to the roundabout, it's packed with cars, hardly moving. Our driver is chatting on his cell phone, smoking a ciggy and drinking a coffee all the while driving us! I look out the side window of the van, we are so close to the car next to us, I was sure you wouldn't be able to slip a sheet of paper between the two. I said to the driver, "you guys must excellent drivers to able to negotiate this kind of traffic". His response, "we killed all the bad drivers here!" I lol and just looked at the floor of the van... it was too much for this guy to watch! HH
  12. It's cold 'eh..... HHH
  13. That's why I buy lots of "extra"... and why I have a muffin top! HH
  14. Knowing that the weather was going to be what it was, I was out dishing candy from 6:00pm until 7:30 when the downpour hit. We had more kids this year, than the last ten! Might have been the parents directing them here as I had a bottle of "99" for the dads and a bottle of pre-mixed "chocolate martini's " for the moms. No one complained about the weather.... NOW GET OFF MY LAWN! HH
  15. Wellies... HH
  16. Don't get me wrong, I love the Donner! Can't say I agree with him and the numbers back me up. HH
  17. Sweet! Congrats Simon! HH
  18. I only caught the highlights of the game last night as I had a commitment, but Freddy did it again, passing the puck right onto the Tampa players stick and in his net. He sure isn't playing like a number one goalie! HH
  19. Years ago we thought we'd try hitting Quinte in January... as you can see from the pic, we cleared the launch the old fashioned way, grit and determination! On a side note, we didn't do well that day at all! HH
  20. Raising Arizona... drops mic and walks away.. HH
  21. So, nice to see that Freddy used the time off in the summer to work on his puck handling skills! LMAO! In the four games played to date, he has let in at least one bad goal in each of the three he has played and it could be argued that he has let in more than that! I sense a weakness between the pipes... still waiting for him to "steal" a win for the team... HH
  22. Moon rising over Georgian Bay. Point and shoot camera, no tripod... a bit of a challenge! HH
  23. Let those off us who haven't done something similar/stupid in our youth, cast the first stone. I bet the ripples from the tossed stones don't even disturb the surface. HH
  24. With Freddy Mercury on vocals! HH
  25. Mann Stretch 20's off of planner boards, 200ft behind the board and 150 out from the boat. Colour is dependent on grey or blue skies. Fish from the Hay Bay boat launch to the mouth of the bay or back in the bay near the island if you feel like casting. HH
