  1. I hope who ever is kicking your dog every day stops soon, you seem to be taking it out on complete strangers. How's fishin been for yah? HH
  2. My daughter and I polished off the tray ourselves!!!!! HH
  3. Let us know how you liked it! HH
  4. Seasoning for the mussels, in a big bowl... -1/4 cup of olive oil -one head of garlic, crushed -1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar -1/4 cup of white wine -5 green onions chopped -one sweet onion chopped -kosher salt and pepper -one chopped tomato -chopped parsley Add the mussels to the mixture and stir making sure all the mussels are coated. Pour onto a baking sheet and cook at medium heat until all the mussels have opened... about 10 minutes. Stir them up and cook for 5 more minutes to ensure that all the mussels are cooked. Dump the cooked mussels in a bowl and serve. I lined the baking tray with aluminum foil for easy clean up. HH PS... I have also seen it done where the mussels are placed right on the grill, no tray. PSS... cooking time will vary based on the size of the mussels and how high they are pilled. Check every couple of minutes after 5, to ensure that you don't dry them out.
  5. Well, it looks like the weather is going to put a damper on my plans. Thanks to everyone! HH
  6. I usually do as well, but saw this done and gave it a go. Super easy, just make sure to give them a stir to even out the heat during cooking. HH
  7. Thanks Terry, Should have been more specific, looking for the Sibbald PP area. HH
  8. Been lookin forward to getting out for some perching at first ice out. Can anyone verify that Simcoe is open and fishable? Thanks, HH
  9. I have a ten lb Prime Rib nestled in the fridge for my son's birthday on Friday. We usually don't eat "meat" on Good Friday, but we're bending the rules for his birthday... and no, I am not the religious type, just kinda following our family tradition. HH
  10. We call this a "mixed grill". When we can't decide what we want, we mix it up! Jerk chicken wings, mussels in olive oil, garlic, tomatoes, onions and one head of garlic, crushed. Brats as well. HH
  11. The other plus that gas affords is that the burners (stove top) will work in a power outage. The oven won't work, but you can easily light the stove top burners and cook, during an outage. HH
  12. I agree with Gerritt with one thought in mind... carbon tax on natural gas will increase the cost over time as the tax will simply keep rising. HH
  13. Port Stanley when I was a kid. Two dip nets among 4 of us, too many smelt to clean! Two days with scissors in my hands and at least one full garbage bag into my mom's roses. i have detested those little buggers ever since! HH
  14. Well, you sure weren't kidding around when you said they were stacked in there! it sure looks like a ton of fun! H
  15. I have a really hard time giving him anything as some things are harder on him then others. That said, i also have a very difficult time poisoning my dog. All that stuff is not something I would give a human, so I am not likely to give it to my dog. The reality is, that he is almost entirely an inside dog. He was a "rescue" and spent the first four years of his life before us, living in a downtown Toronto condo. On a side note... our vet wanted us to give him heart worm pills. To my mind, just another form of poison! I asked him when was the last time he or any vet in the province had seen an example of heart worm infection... no answer! HH
  16. I am in a bit of a tough spot as my dog has sever reactions to any kind of pest control meds. HH
  17. He's pitched really well so far this season. I admire how level headed he seems on the mound. Definitely a surprise for the Jays starting staff and continued success for this young man! HH
  18. i hope Marchand keeps his tongue in his mouth!!!!! HH
  19. Quenneville hired as coach of the Florida Panthers... HH
  20. I sure would like to see Andersen make that really big save that doesn't seem capable of making. Playoff teams need that little bit extra from the goalies, the save that keeps them in the game. I have not seen that save being made in a long time. Also, couldn't someone in charge tell Andersen to stop playing the puck? It's definitely not one of his strengths. 9/10 times, he just gives it away to the other team. HH
  21. Arguing on the internet... here's a good definition. It's like playing chess with a pigeon. The pigeon just knocks all the pieces over. Then craps all over the board. Then struts around like it won.” I can hear the cooing in this thread! HH
  22. He's going to have a hard time getting anywhere unless and until he can quantify lost revenue as a result of the incorrect facebook post. The blemish on his reputation as a result of that post is another matter and I am not sure how to pursue an avenue of recourse in that regard? Small claims court? Also, I can't help but think that the language used in the post isn't going to serve him well in this matter. I get his frustration, but I don't think using colourfull language is going to help his cause. HH
  23. Right back at yah! HH
  24. Our go to lunch when on a fly in trip! Pickereye wrapped in bacon, smothered in Franks Hot sauce and grilled.... June can't come quick enough! HH
  25. Sounds like a good reason to hold a GTG to see who gets the biggest goldie! HH
