I was pretty happy to see JT score that goal last night and shut up that crowd on Long Island. I bet he felt a bit of redemption. Also thought that both Rosen and Dermott played a good game. Nice to see the young guys contributing. HH

Haters gonna hate.... I really hope we can get this thread back on track as I would not want to see it locked up. OT.. those Ottawa kids are playing some decent hockey recently. It's good to see. HH

"The Passion That unites Us" LOL HH

Let's also not forget the Sparks has played the 2nd game of back to backs most of the season. Those aren't easy starts, with the team coming in tired. HH

I think there is something rotten in the dressing room that has affected the team and the way they play. It can't be good that one of the faces of the team, Matthews, states to the media that they gave up in the third period of the Tampa game. Professionals don't give up! I sure hope they find it and deal with it before the play-offs. HH

Yah, that poor fish finds itself swimming in circles! Oh, the humanity! HH

The biggest problem with most know it alls, is that sometimes they are right. I don't believe this to be the case in this instance. HH

Was out on Cooks yesterday from 6:30to noon. Bite was much slower than the previous week. Tried many different presentations, but it seemed they wanted meat. Usual stuff wasn't working to my liking, so I took the dive into the dark side and started using perch eyes on my jig. That got them going more consistently, but still not like it was the week before. Next week should have them biting better with the warm weather being forecast. HH

I can't blame Sparks for last night's mess. I thought he kept them in the game longer than they deserved. HH

Plenty of people parking on the ice at the launch in Keswick. 20 minute walk and yer fishin. Just pick your days, no hut needed. HH

Cooks Bay for perch! Was out last Friday and had non-stop action from 7:00 until we left at 3:00. Yes, it was a dink fest, but I did manage to get enough for a feed. Largest was 12 inches. Find 30ft of water, start there and go deeper. HH PS... @misfish would be proud, no live bait used. Actually, buddy used minnows and I was outfishing him 5:1.

I think Muzzin is trying to do too much. He needs to back off a bit and really pick his spots. HH

Check out the line up on this three day show this summer. https://roxodus.com/ HH -
I was in Holguin a few years ago. Spent an afternoon lounging in the sun, watch a dude wading out to the reef, chucking shrimp from an ultra light rod. He had pretty much non-stop action, small stuff, but action non the less. Looked like fun and from my vantage point, it was like watching a fishin show from a nice warm bar! HH

Welcome back to Leaf land Matt!!!! ? HH

Isn't it about time that the goaltender coach talks to Freddie about handling the puck? It seems to me that every time he has the puck behind his net, he passes it, under pressure, to the wrong team! It also seems like Gardiner is the victim/culprit on the defense core.... HH

I went through two sets of Michelins on my Jimmy. Both sets, the side walls cracked and not just on the curb side of the vehicle, all four tires. I would listen to @John as he is in the business and has offered help to so many here. HH

At 11.6m per year, I have to wonder what Mariner is going to be worth come the end of the season. HH

For days on end!!!!! I remember smelt fishing on Erie.... green garbage bags full of smelt. Two days of sitting with scissors. I can't even look at a smelt anymore! HH

When I was a kid, we used to catch them at Springbank Dam in London. Having tried numerous techniques to not only get them to bite, but to also get them in, we found that using a small float, with about one foot of line below, with a treble hook and minnow worked best. We would wrap the minnow around the treble, sometimes 'more than one, so that the fish saw a ball of minnows. We'd either hook them in the "nose" or just inside the mouth... they are tough critters to hook. That all said, we got pretty bored catching them as the fight is little to non-existent. @Moosebunk has posted some incredible Gar fishing reports, perhaps he could shed some light on the topic. HH
