  3. Haven't bought a Shimano rod for quite a while prefer St Croix muskie rods myself. My last walleye rod was a Spiel special and I couldn't be happier.

Now you boys be nice up there Art.

  12. I found the 5.7 VERY overrated performance wise especially when you take into consideration the terrible gas mileage. My fuel consumption with the F150 Eco doesn't change whether the boat is on the back or not.
  13. Go get 'em Pete!
  14. Welcome aboard....I love shore fishing too...miss the rivers and streams from my youth in the UK. Will have to get back into it..
  15. What Bill said........ I have had 4 GC's......4L 6, V6 and 5.7L. Hated the 5.7. Having driven the 3L diesel that would be my engine of choice if I bought another, but I do more driving than you and pull heavier load. Having said that I drive a Crew Cab F150 with Ecoboost and love it. Great acceleration when you need it torque up the wazzoo and will pull more than I will ever need. Pretty nice interior for you SUV drivers too.
  16. Used to catch big ones in local rivers in the North but much bigger ones in canals on Norfolk Broads. Cheese and Liver was too expensive for me.........:-) I used to dig redworms and brandlings out of farmers dung piles and use a big gob of them on a #8 worm hook throw it out and wait. A little like catfishing. Love Putney....the neighbourhood ain't what it used to be though. Couldn't afford to live there these days. My sister lives in West Hampstead....she had to have that NW6 post code! Smoked a few things in Holland but eel wasn't one of them...lol
  17. I used to catch them over there too Simon. Pretty big ones too, sad they are in decline there too. Stay up all night ledgering......Used to 6 inchers in the streams when I was a kid. You a jellied eel fan Simon?
  18. They are sand eels....
  19. Personally I would rent a flooring nailer and use the right nails for the job (not staples).
  20. Looks painful hun.. Not a lot you can do other than ice on and off and keep the swelling down. Done it twice myself so I know what it feels like.
  21. Really cool to see Jiggy rebuilt bigger and better....
  22. Most lodges up there sell those maps Fred. I wouldn't be without one.
  23. Never been a bass guy myself Mike but your shots are spectacular, thanks for sharing.
  24. What Roy says. He uses Lowrance I use Humminbird, personal preference, Chevy vs Ford.........Always carry compass and map of the water you are on, learn to navigate with them and you will get home.
  25. Looking forward to it Rich, we should arrive mid day Sat.
