One option would be to cut it all up and then slip a few pieces into your garbage each week. This will require a place to keep it for a while.

Yamaha Dealer near LeBarons on Woodbine?
John Bacon replied to RangerGuy's topic in General Discussion
I bought my Princecraft there; they seemed fine to me. -
Do you have a GOSD ticket? The rules is that everyone in the boat needs one. People would be more inclined to take you if you had the ticket. The derby ends end of Aug 25th.

I wouldn't get too excited about the little fish symbols on the screen. I don't think the most of the are actually fish. The 'fish finder' will be more useful at finding depths and structure than in locating fish.

Did you mean Canadian Wiggler? If not what is a Canadian Wobbler? I have heard of Canadian Wigglers and Toronto Wobblers.

After you finish your cast either flip the bail manually or reel in just enough to flip the bail. Then pull your rod back like you are setting the hook to take all of the slack out of your line. Then proceed with your retrieve. This will prevent most tangles on a spinning reel. Once your are used to it you will do it without even thinking about it.

What about Bert's Custom Tackle? These seem to be popular with the salmon croud. Does anybody use them for muskie? http://www.teclausa.com/bert/ http://www.basspro.c...shopping_amazon

100.000 Walleye Stocked in Hamilton Harbor
John Bacon replied to Fish Farmer's topic in General Discussion
What is the temperature in Hamilton Harbour right now? I would think that is too warm for stocking fish. -
I have heard way too many stories for Tracker boats hulls cracking to consider buying one... hence the term Cracker boats.

Is the Rouge Deep Enough for a Trolling Motor?
John Bacon replied to rhymobot's topic in General Discussion
Yes, it is deep enough. However, yes there are signs stating no motors. The bridge has a picture of a propellor with a line through it. -
Salmon that's 'clean' enough to eat. Where?
John Bacon replied to hotsky's topic in General Discussion
If you are catching them from Lake Ontario then I wouldn' think the it would make much of difference which part of Lake Ontario that you caught them in. They wander around the lake a lot so any salmon that you catch will have been all over the lake. I eat the salmon from Lake Ontario on occasion. I am still hear. -
A couger was recently found in Connecticut. DNA indicated that it came from Whyoming or Montana. Males do wander long distances. I suspect that there are western cougers in Ontario.

Old Dave was watching TV as his wife was out cutting the grass during the hot summer. He finally worked up the energy to go out and ask his sweety, "Hey! What's for supper?" "WHHHAAAAAT?!? You sit on your butt in the air conditioning all day while I'm out here working?!? I can't believe you have the balls to ask me about supper right now! "Tell you what -- imagine I'm out of town. Go inside and figure out dinner for yourself!" Old Dave went back in the house and fixed himself a big steak with potatoes, garlic bread, and a tall glass of old beer. Wifey finally finished the lawn and walked in about the time he was finishing up. "You fixed something to eat, I see. So where's mine?" "Huh? I thought you were out of town."

Most bird books list it as a baltimore oriole; there are other types of orioles. A search on "baltimore oriole" yielded this result. http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/baltimore_oriole/id

Don't you require a license for the juristiction you are fishing? If you are on the St. Lawrence and want to fish the U.S. side, wouldn't you require a US fishing license?

Which has been caught more times and in more lakes in Ontario... this strugeon or that infamous pike?

I will toss an apple core into the woods; but I wouldn't drop it on the side walk. I never dropped a pop can or similar piece of non-biodegradable garbage on the ground. Even when I was 5 years old I knew this was wrong and would keep my garbage until I found a garbage can. Do you think it is okay to just toss your garbage on the ground.

A couple of tackle stores south of the 401 in Scarborough have closed down. Rerries was on Kingston Rd. in eastern Scarborough; it was more squareshaped though. There was one at Eglinton and Warden area; I was never there but I think the owner may be an OFC member. Tightlines and Al Flaraties sp both had stores in Scarborough at one time. But that would be more like 14 year or more ago. We still have Lucky's at Sheppard and Midland; AV tackle at Sheppard and Shorting (between Markham and McCown). Both of these are north of the 401.

LeBaron's is close to eastern Toronto at Woodbine and #7.

When I bought my 30hp Suzuki in 1990 or 1991, I was quoted just under a grand to convert it to electric start. Two grand is a little higher than I would expect but is not too far out of line after accounting for ~20 years of inflation. Unless you can get lucky and find a scrapped motor that has a working starter, alternator, and the starting switch; it probably isn't worth converting your motor. My 30hp wasn't too hard to start manually. If you are set on electric start you are probably better off selling the motor and buying an electric start motor.

Jays tickets vs. Cleveland and accomidations (n.f)
John Bacon replied to sturgman's topic in General Discussion
I you want to avoid down town hotel prices but still have access to down town activities then consider a hotel near the subway line. I don't think you should have trouble picking up tickets. You can buy them at any Rogers Store; you can probably buy them at the ticket office at the Dome itself (sell outs are pretty rare). -
That is an interesting choice of words. How does one exaggerate the allegations? Does this mean that the snakeheads were merely large rather than giant?
