  1. my 2014 Silverado has had 10 recalls and 9 other warranty issues, GM offered the company I worked for a 1000.00 off on our next purchase of one vehicle, which the company has over 700 in the fleet, its a working vehicle that's been in the shop more then its been on the road.
  2. Congrads on the PB, considerable numbers of fish still on Redds last Sunday, seen at least 20 pairs in the upper Ganny, but the dropbacks were in the deep runs and holes, and were more then willing to chew on flies, and flatfish.
  3. checked my Cleo stash found 14 Cleos with the Wiggle Girl, the rest just had Little Cleo then the weight on the back
  4. Nice I let the walleye guys have their fun, and went for drop backs today, seen lots of boat heading to Rice
  5. Finese fishing walleyes 10 to 15 pound braid, and 8 pound floro leader as a rule but will bump to 10 if I can, for rip jigging 20 pound braid usually no floro leader as its an instinct reaction, cranks I will use a 10 pound floro leader on a braid main
  6. im now checking out my Cleo stash for the hootchie momma
  7. watch out for the new Dodge Challenger Hell Cat when going through Roseneath
  8. Should work fine, I remove all the spreaders and replace with single trebles, with no issues, check the eye, to make sure its straight, and bend it opposite to the direction it wants to run, most flatfish do have a snap, to allow it to swing and wobble more, make sure it is not bent or damaged as well, drop back steelhead are suckers for flatfish
  9. The prelude story about how the trip came together was very entertaining as well, and I new it would only get better as it went on
  10. That would be fun on Lake O getting toed around by a big silver king
  11. Nice to see when one of the truly good guys catches a break and gets some good news, hopefully this is a start for some good kharma as well to come to other members who could use some positive news in their lives
  12. Great looking collection of fine Coleman products Dax, unlike the stuff made today, they were made with pride on our soil and still work fine
  13. looks like a really good description of the suspect vehicle, should be easy to locate, or someone knows who it is, just need to come forward, if I was the driver I would be surrendering with a lawyer its just a matter of time, and your already up the Saugeen in spring thaw without a paddle,
  14. Sounds like a blast, I believe the MNR is very interested on hearing of any American eel catchings, either by location or GPS coordinates, the smoke meats sounds great even those smoked turds
  15. Just watched it OK Time to go fishin now
  16. Fishing will only get better as fish move off the Redds, and into the deeper runs and holes to recuperate, this coming week should be good, the next week should be even better, as long as a big blow out rain doesn't flush most of them back to the lake, hardware ie quickfish and flatfish have worked well, after the roe bite slows, in the morning, flies are also accounting for some fish as well
  17. Beautiful rivers with Steelhead, Browns and Brookies, and lots of wildlife, floro and fawna, it helps to clense the soul, and something you cant find fishing from a boat, catching a fish in that environment is a bonus, but its the rivers themselves which lure me back, and have for over 35 years Muskies on the fly would be 2nd
  18. While your fishing and hes not he is eating 50 times the butter tarts you are Chris
  19. Depends on the holes or runs your fishing, or if its a harbour or frog water with low to no current fish can and will suspend, ive seen the bead brigade run 8 foot leads in 3 foot runs hoping to gank one at the end of the drift, withy the bead 5 inches from the hook
  20. Gill lice is a growing concern, and is showing up more frequently in catches, and sampling, not much mention of it from MNR or there biologist, but this is the year they were supposed to sample Ganny fish, so thery will no doubt see first hand for themselves instead of taking anglers words, common within some Brook Trout populations and almost always fatal, I would assume it would choke the fishes ability to breath through the gills if it gets bad enough
  21. Red lights and Hash Bars, if your going there to fish you out of your mind
  22. Kipex the best, apparently DeWalt very nice as well, as for for the 8 foot Glass Premier rod is designed for trolling Stacy at Pro Tackle carries them, 100 pound braid min for trolling esp GB, and 150 to 200 pound floro leaders, I prefer 6 footers
  23. true 50 inch musky on the fly with no tail pinch Gar Pike on the fly
