"Mass hysteria".. well hopefully it doesn't happen to you, but if it does here's a few tips from my friend! Thought his Brother had been gone for 30 minutes.. it was almost 2 full days!
-
Tap and go at the pumps for fuel and grocery delivery to your cottage.... or stay South.

I have a friend in Western New York that has been fighting it for a week, as has his Brother. His suggestion, to me, was for anyone that has a family member with bad lungs to go get a few ox tanks and masks NOW as his worst effect was trying to breath. Frozen food pea packs for the headache, etc. It's serious and it's real.. don't anyone try to open my laneway gate!

The "bangs" are torque converter lock up.. when you don't want it, usually after a quick throttle hit and back off. My F150 almost broke my back a few times, but the latest reprogram fixed it all up. Break her in and come first service see what they need to do.

I have one of each.. lol

Maybe, but it would take two extras for Paul's! -
Nice Dave... remember that Ketchup washes that smell off your hands!! LOL

Just like Muskie fishing.. lift 5' or so and let it swim/circle back down! The lake is FULL of schools of minnows 20+ feet deep and 100 feet long. Inside those you'll see large "hooks" eating away. Sometimes these fish will dart out and head for your hook. Other "mystery" large red light ups on the screen are 4 or 5 herring (some 16" long!) swimming tight together, they'll drive you nuts on the lake but can be coaxed to bite with a green labelled swedish pimple. Other large red marks are "Walter", the cruising 20+ lb Laker that will inhale your still bait! Most of the time we don't jig.. absolutely still baits. One 5 or 6' off bottom, the other 5 to 10' above it.

My best is a 38".. Paul 38 1/4", Lloyd a 42" and a 48" that probably weighed 50+ lbs. ALL on artificial bait. My "go to" is an 8" white Muskie tube with 6/0's. Works most years!

Just killing myself by browsing back through this, about 8 hours before Jen would turn 35 at 8 in the AM. Thanks to all for keeping me sane for almost 10 years and the same group of great guys I had up at my camp last week for allowing me to do my own thing each day ...while my brain continues to keep me awake a night! -
Sorry for the highjack Chris.. looks like we need to start a OFC Temagami G2G
-
Wish we'd known.. we would have taken you down the NE Arm with us. We always try to come in before dark anyhow. My place is on the end of the next Island up the lake from where you were!

You weren't the guys with the pop ups right in town were you, fishing beside TShores three huts??? If so we drove by you a bunch of times! Can't figure out why they put their huts there... when there's a nice 55 FOW hole half way between there and their docks! Glad you had a good time and made some memories Chris, it can be a tough lake to crack... and even when you think you have it figured out, I got skunked for 10 days straight!

All we've ever used is an auger in the corners. Amazing how fast you can pump water and great if you have someone on skates with a squeegy broom to move it while you run the auger.

"YES Mr Bryant I can get your daughter and coach to the game on time". A very sad mistake for him to give in to "just gotta get there" mentality. PIC broke most rules in the book, including his companies. True reality, trust me I've broke too many of them myself.. a trip to Nipigon comes to mind...

I wouldn't even drive a Civic out to my dock on Temagami tomorrow, when many years I've had fully loaded truck and 20' enclosed trailer sitting beside it on New Years Eve. No way I'd be driving a truck on Simcoe this year.
