  1. how'd it taste?
  2. If they are looking for quiet, low traffic lakes, Muskoka, Rosseau, Gloucester Pool are anything but during the summer months in my humble opinion. Of course, their definition of quiet may be different than mine.
  3. Add a piece of wood under the gas pedal. Hahah. Keep your foot out of it. It's tough but worked for me when I had a turbo If this works on a naturally aspirated motor, no reason it would not work on a forced fed one. Biteme, be interesting to hear your findings.. winter blend gas typically makes you lose 1-2 mpg anyway. Thanks for posting your results Dannyboy.
  4. as i understand it, the 1oz/5gal is about 600:1 mix. tcw3 is an ashless oil and being two stroke oil it's design to all burn off. i don't see a 600:1 mix fouling up o2/cats. the theory is the detergents in the tcw3 oil also act as a top-end cleaner. the benefits listed are lubricating moving parts (ie fuel pump, cylinder walls for cold starts)... there's more to it all, the thread is 43 pages long. don't shoot the messenger just something i stumbled upon and haven't tried myself. the folks who have tried it, all report small gains in mpg and a smoother running motor but it is the internet.. blah blah i'm as big a skeptic when it comes to fuel/oil additives as they come!
  5. I stumbled upon this post on another site. What are your opinions OFC? http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91206 cliff notes: add 1oz of synthetic 2 stroke oil (tcw3) per 5 gallons of fuel in your vehicle benefits: smoother idle & cruise, 2-5% improved mpg.
  6. if you are buying, keep looking if you are selling, good luck
  7. vice grips and pliers are all that you need, unless you have a good vice it becomes a pita with a small tie flying vice.
  8. law as-is makes sense to me for the reasons gbfisher mentioned. :donno:
  9. it's been that way for a while. the address on your driver's license has to say you are from the north. so my question, does someone from the north venturing south of the french have to pull over past the bridge and remove the studs or can they drive on them in southern ontario. ahh looks like the cutoff is nippissing and parry sound districts
  10. Seems a lot of people like the silent armours. They are well reviewed. For me they are just not aggressive enough for mud/off road like the duratracs are while retaining the snowflake rating.
  11. i;'ve ran goodyear duratracs before but i don't think they come in training wheel sizes. they're an AT tire with a snowflake rating - good all year. now i am on firestone destination ATs. been to london area coiuple of times in the last few weeks and got to play in the snow, they were fine.
  12. studs are legal in northern ontario. the address on your license has to be north of sudbury - i believe that is the dividing line warm water on huron and gbay from a hot summer, coupled with some really strong cold north winds has produced some nasty lake effect squalls responsible for all this mess. the people in the affected areas are not unaccustomed to lots of snow by any means it's just been that much worse this year
  13. that sucks don't carry your sin and birth cert in your wallet, there's no reason for it - leave them in a safe place at home.
  14. That'd be awesome congrats & have fun cheering on the good guys.
  15. please clean it up by friday am, i need to be in st. thomas. thank you.
  16. it's an Italian cartoon penned by Osvaldo Cavandoli. It was aired all over the world - in Canada on TVO and CBC, in the states on a show called Great Space Coaster.
  17. nice bonus pickerel where are the pike and muskie?
  18. i thought taxes on taxes were illeg...
  19. speaking of hst.... gas prices wouldn't be so bad now, would they.
  20. Other than some cut wires, there doesn't appear to be any damage, thankfully. At least I've several months to look for something..
  21. yes, police report has been filed.
  22. Yeah I have all that info, not sure I should be posting it???
  23. Had the outboard stolen off my boat in Etobicoke last night. I'd appreciate it if you guys would keep an eye on classifieds for an '01 Merc 30hp 4 stroke. Damn thieves.
  24. i'm surprised none of y'all had to walk to school, 10 miles in a blizzard, uphill both ways, in your socks.
  25. It looks like you are using the auto focus feature of the cam. Sometimes the cameras aren't smart enough to figure out what you want to focus on and pick the wrong area. 2 ways around it. If possible, use manual focus to pick exactly what you want to focus on or, If you are stuck using auto focus, the trick is to find an object that is the same distance away from the lense as the the object you are trying to shoot. Focus on it by pressing the shutter halfway, keep holding the shutter halfway, then take a pic of the object you want. If you knew this then forget I said anything.
