Info needed on portable indoor air conditioners PLEASE
Raf replied to mr blizzard's topic in General Discussion
they arent as good as window units and it still needs to be near a window. you'll get more bang for your buck with a window unit. the one we had was a dual hose one for in and one for out. you popped that piece into a window and sealed any gaps. i don't remember having to drain the water, maybe the condensation just went out the 'out' hose? or my memory isn't good and we did drain. -

we're close, usually canada day long wknd or shortly after they are out.

if the 31s dont fit, the 29 series from walmart might be a good compromise if you want more reserve than the 27s. i'm on year 3 on my wally world 29 and no complaints. they are johnson control batteries.

there arent any places in ontario a 14-16' tinner can't handle if you're smart about the weather. my 14.5' / 40 hp combo has seen lake ontario, georgian bay and all puddles in between. a 20+' glass goliath with a fuel sucking inboard is the last boat i'd recommend to someone looking for their 1st.

you should be seeing upper 20 mph, maybe crack 30 in that rig. i don't have any advice to offer you though, good luck.

your links never work. i have to cut & paste. no idea what it is you do to make it so but it's so.

LOL. It is kinda pretty, even I think so. Perennial of the Year in 2010 I found out LOL!! Put a block on this thread as I have more pics to post once it stops raining.

super sharp hooks are key #1. sharpen anything out of the box and retouch anything if it feels in the least bit dull. i lock my drag down for the hookset but will back it off a bit once the fish is on. if the fish wants to run I let it and control it with my thumb if needed. they don't make long runs but they are strong so i think a little 'give' is good especially as you get closer to the boat. going 0/3 leads me to believe key #1 was the culprit not your drag setting.

I am blown away by the knowledge and quick response. Thanks all, that's a great start. There is plenty more I will post that's currently blooming and if I recall when those are done others take their place.

Good idea about Gardening Club Klinker For the most part I think we do LOL maybe after I post the below that will change. I'll post up a small sample of the stuff that's in the garden 1. >> Yellow Loosestrife ??? 2. >> Blue False Indigo 3. >> Lupins THis stuff is very aggressive and I have to pull it otherwise it chokes out others, as is the clover like stuff in the top right (I yank that stuff wherever I see it): 4. >> Lungwort Stuff on the right also seems to spread easily 5. Aster or Dianthus + Lady's Mantle 6. >> Hollyhock Mallow // cranesbill geranium?? sorry for calling it 'stuff'.

Can anyone point me to an active gardening forum where I could get some questions answered? Here's our situation. We moved into our house 2 years ago and it came with a WELL established perennial garden. We are finding we both lack any kind of a green thumb and need to learn before we have to turn it to grass. Outside of hostas, tulips, poppies, we can't even begin to identify what it is we have in our garden, never mind care for it properly. I think ID'ing everything is step one! I can start posting pics here but I am not sure the knowledge base we have on this topic. If there's anyone in the Orangeville/Grand Valley area who's willing to see it with their own eyes (we can do the work!!), I am sure there are several plants which need division in it for you.

for the most part, internet access in rural areas is abysmal in ontario especially if you are used to / coming from a place with cable/dsl lines. xplornet is garbage. best bet is propably a local outfit. talk to your neighbours.

possibility in keswick the 2nd wave late this afternoon came through really fast and hard.

wife took cover in basement as sky went green/yellow in grand valley, 2nd time in two weeks. nothing touched down as far as she knows. the time 2 wks ago there was significant rotation and a funnel but it didn't touch the ground. 'tis the season.

trolling is an excellent way of covering a lot of water and finding places to pick apart with casts later.

that's a hard one and would make me wanna sell the trailer on quinte. having to go across the gta is a poopstorm anyway you slice it.

We do may to november on ours with revolution, skip the winter months and skip the heatworm test. I agree, vet is just covering bases. If the test is expensive maybe keep him on the treatments year round if you are concerned.

No sadly, I'm one hour north of toronto. Are ya hiring? LOL. I keep looking for work in dryden/sioux lookout/kenora area and the occasional job does pop up but, my best bet given my job experience (IT) is Winnipeg.

It DOES sound like Devil's spawn. When mature looks like it's easy to ID but when young, maybe not so much?
