Who said I don't want a bassboat????? I said anyone can buy one and people shouldn't assume that they know how to drive the things because they have one. Maybe they should make a boaters operator's card the real thing so people actually have to know the laws and how to operate a boat. A test that is required to drive the other vehicles you mentioned. Driving a full throttled bassboat within 20' of a stopped boat is not safe. Dead fish!

What happened to Canadian Tire? senseless store policies
jimmer replied to bare foot wader's topic in General Discussion
I had a socket go on me recently. I took it to my local store three times and they never had one in stock to replace, didn't offer to order another one in. Went to one north of me, they said they would order. I said not to bother because of the distance. I went to another store with 1/2 hour of my place, went to the customer service counter, showed the girl, she went into a cupboard and eventually came out with a part to replace the internal ratchet. Took me 30 seconds to change. 3 stores = 3 different outcomes. Still have the ratchet. I use Canadian Tire for specific things and that's it. There were many times I walked out of that store frustrated because of various reasons. -
Milk snake and they like to bite.

Nice catch. Those are some real monster perch.

Sorry, I can't agree with this statement jedimaster. Yes, most tournament anglers have driven these types of boats for years and have that knowledge and skill. But anyone can walk into a marina and walk out a bass boat owner, with no clue on driving those machines, join tournaments and call themselves pros. They're the scary ones. That's if they have the $$$$$ to do it. I have had plenty of near swamps from bass boats. Even experienced guys get a quick reminder at times, just ask JP Derose. Sorry, I know this post was about dead bass and I went off topic.

I don't know about them not being a charger. I have used one for the past 2-3 years and it definitely charges my batteries from deep cycle to smaller 12 volt ones for my fish finder. I love it.

The passion lives on! I have just found that the Kawarthas are getting very busy of late and that puts everyone on edge. People jump all over seeing dead fish after a tournament, which we all hope that the tournament is not at fault, but like others have said; the meat hunters are the ones to worry about. I have my own pet peeves about tournaments, but they are not illegal, so not much I can do about them. I do find myself visiting other lakes during the busy times.

I had that happen a couple of times and nothing worked, so I just enjoyed the sight of a monster pike. I don't think leaders bother them that much, you probably bother it more. LOL

It's a head scratcher! They look so baaaaaad! -
I get a chuckle out of fishing stories. Many a books written about them. You can always suggest that they enter a tournament if they can boat fish like that, since it's rare to see a bass over 7 lbs weighed in. I used to be a full time taxidermist and would get calls from customers ranting about their 10 pound walleye or 7 pound bass, so when they showed up it was only proper to charge them what a 10 pound walleye would cost, then they would argue the fish is only 22 inches. So, I would ask which way they would prefer the mount, as an 10 pounder or the 3-4 pounder that it realy is. Kind of hard to stretch the skin that much and satisfy them when they picked the fish up. Must be like a drug once you touch a fish, you start imagining things. LOL However, I have a friend who always under estimates the size of a fish. He is always surprised when we weigh in our bag of fish.

I actually caught a bass that had moss growing on it's back. It was only about 4lbs though.
-
It should be gone by then. They say the temps are dropping tonight, so should the threat of tornados.
-
That's the best technique for that type of fishing. Don't forget the bug juice!!!!!!! or you won't last long.

I think that cop had one too many. What about all the guys that do it over the side of a boat. The ph would really be in trouble. Geez, maybe that's why some busy lakes are so weedy! LOL

Those GBay muskie sure have some meat on them. Nice fish!!!!
-
You would love a 25hp on that boat.

What is one to do???? Hit the beds, avoid the beds or stay in bed? I will tell you this, the number of anglers fishing for bass has increased to amazing numbers in the past decade and it's a competition whether you're in a tournament or not!

Huge News!!! I have joined Italo on Canadian Sportfishing!

Congrats! Hope it's what you want. You don't know me from Adam, but I'm available for a guest spot anytime! lol No Seriously. -
Many are concerned about this, but most will do it anyways. Sad for FMZ 17. There are many arguments on both sides about this, I just can't figure out why there was the need to change it to a week earlier. There are plenty of other species to fish for in that zone.

seagull fresh water clam trolling smallie with a crankbait in its mouth the same walleye over and over again in some fast water. myself mudpuppy something out of Lake O that I still don't know what it was. lol

I would still go with the teflon/silcone which should give it a smoother movement in the parts. Lithium is still grease and can build up in areas.
-
I find that oil and grease tend to cause problems when dirt and grime sticks to it. I think there is a teflon/silicone spray of somekind that might be better for this application.

I don't believe that there are muskie in Kennisis. I have heard of some walleye though.
