  1. Can you even still get a legitimate copy of Windows 7 to upgrade a Vista operating system ? FWIW my desktop is running 7 and I intend to leave it that way, my laptop was running 8, I hated it and I upgraded to 10 .
  2. An eye witness account mentions a big gust of wind lifted the bridge , probably beyond the limits of what the expansion joint was designed for and it didn't mesh properly when it dropped.
  3. Sure they don't see cannabis as a bad thing but they'll hammer you for evading taxes on it.
  4. I am a sinner who makes scalloped potatoes with a can of mushroom soup
  5. If you have the Phoenix addon installed on Kodi, go to Woody , then HD Sports and there is an NBA/NHL tab with about 15 streams, I can usually find the Leafs and the Raptors games in 720 , just don't expect to watch the Leafs on CBC or TSN, usually it is Fox Sports and the home team and bias is for the opponent . My wife is the bigger sports fan here and we still have Bell , I'm just doing research before I make my pitch to cut the cord.
  6. Going through the flyers for the sales starting today , it must be sausage making time, all the grocery stores have sausage meat on sale this week, best price seems to be Fortinos, pork shoulders at $1.29 a pound and whole pork legs at 99 cents a pound. Those making bacon there is whole pork bellies at Commissos for $2.99 a pound. Sobeys and Superstore have sales on as well on shoulders, it's like they have insider info on each others sale items.
  7. Isn't the speed limit 10 Kph within 100 feet of shore ?
  8. The Provincial Regulations are the law and what would stand up in court, except for migratory gamebirds the feds are not in the picture. Why they have this on a federal page is beyond me , why not just a link to the actual Provincial Regs .
  9. You know that is dated 2007 and I find it weird that any Ontario Fishing regs would be posted on a Federal Government webpage.
  10. You can try it by downloading and installing Kodi on your computer. I often watch on my laptop if the missus is watching on the big screen or I can put it on the TV using miracast .
  11. It does not apply to intersections , just those marked pedestrian crossovers that are usually mid block and I honestly have not seen one outside of metro Toronto.
  12. I sent them an email , maybe you can thank me for the clarification
  13. I know my wood , ( U of T Forestry 74 ) when I first started in the steel industry in the late seventies you would see a lot of Elm used on hardwood skids , when we were losing our Elms to disease. I suspect there will be a lot of Ash used in hardwood skids today cause of trees being removed because of the borer.
  14. Watching the morning news on CHCH Hamilton, they are still confused on the new crosswalk law saying it applies to all intersections. Been confusing to a lot of people, this helps clear it up. http://www.therecord.com/opinion-story/5789120-road-ahead-i-got-it-wrong-no-crosswalk-changes-are-coming/
  15. Glad you are well, England and Wales seems to be getting much of the same, videos of 200 year old pubs being washed away, places being hit there that are not traditionally prone to flooding.
  16. Bernier's best game this year
  17. Glad its a hoax and not real, that is 3-4 times the going rate here, black market would continue at those rates.
  18. People will flock to the LCBO to buy Justin's strain at these prices http://www.hotglobalnews.com/justin-trudeau-announces-the-cost-of-marijuana-in-canada/#
  19. The Coho is better eating than the Rainbow , at least to me.
  20. I remember dad drinking ' Dow ' " Black Horse Ale " in the sixties along with Labatt's " IPA ". Back then Labatt's 50 was a bigger seller than Labatt's Pilsner which later began to be called Blue, if you went to a pub and asked for a Blue back then you'd get a Molson's Stock Ale.
  21. I turned 65 in May but still had to cover the first part of the year, just be thankful they did not eliminate the exemption for seniors.
  22. Worked on a neighbour's farm all through high school during the 60's, ages 14 to 19. Scares me to think of todays teens working around all that machinery that didn't have protective guards on rotating shafts or any pinch points. Products of the increasing nanny state and helicopter parenting I guess and it's only getting worse.
  23. i'm cheap, my everyday wet your whistle, satisfy your thirst beer is " Carling Ice " been drinking it since the late 90's .
