  1. Stayed there a few years ago. Rob is a great guy and very helpful. Boats/motors were top notch. We did the ATV trip to the back lake. That was a lot of fun.
  2. Lovely home and shows very well. I'm sure it will sell quickly!
  3. Hi all, wondering if anyone has upgraded to Windows 10? I keep free offers to do so but leary of changing from XP
  4. What size is your motor? Will be looking at the same package in spring.
  5. No, buy either 20, 40, 60, 80, etc. You don't get much for 45 for example.
  6. The key with the CT Options Master Card is buying gas in 20 litre increments. Best bonus come from 60l and up.
  7. Saw a lot being caught from shore in Port Perry last weekend.
  8. Well I hope we get to find out what happened! I'm emotionally invested in this now! (I need a life I think)
  9. The hell with the rules, I would have fired back! That's just insane.
  10. We were considering moving for retirement to waterfront on either Buckhorn or Pigeon. After reading this, I will now be rethinking and probably looking at BOQ. The rice will only spread.
  11. I don't think I can afford the lures to put in that boat, let alone the boat!
  12. Hi all, looking for some suggestions for a weekend getaway. Wife and I are looking for a cottage resort that's pet friendly and has boat rentals either in the southern Georgian Bay area (Port Severn, Honey Harbour) or Trenton area. Any suggestions would be helpful.
  13. I was on a fly-in out of Hearst last year and we were in the middle of a may fly hatch. Normally 40 walleye a day or more but we were lucky to catch 4 a day. The may fly were thick and when the full moon came up it.........well it was indescribable. Good thing the pike were happy to see us.
  14. I've had great luck with chartreuse spinner baits. Seems to be the colour for the lake. Never caught anything in the Severn river other than a few rock bass but people do fish it.
  15. I use them all the time. When I come home from a trip I throw them in the laundry with the rest of my gear and hang them to dry. Then don't smell after that - till the next outing!
  16. Unfortunately no and it was too far down to really make it out with a camera.
  17. Does anyone know where you can get them. I live in the Markham area.
  18. Stopped in on the way home. Mostly full of suckers with the odd walleye here and there and what looked like one sturgeon swimming around. I think the run is mostly done.
  19. Little Lake in Barrie is open in the middle but still ice around the shore. Won't last much longer though.
  20. I think the cats survived as far as I can tell.
  21. First time I was at Quantz, all the fish were in the south and just few in the north. Two years ago we went back and it was the exact opposite!
  22. Saw a few huts out there yesterday near the shore. No idea how thick the ice is so beware.
  23. I have it and love it! Better accuracy than my Lowerance GPS
  24. A friend of mine once told me "the years between 55 and 65 are far better than those between 65 and 75". As I approach 55, I'm getting out as soon as I can.
