  1. Jigging tubes is what I do. Get ball head 3/4 or 1oz if you can find them. That will get you down faster. Any humps or ridges are prime any extended points. Bounce on bottom hard and slowly reel up sometimes you will see them follow it up. Keeps me awake at night.
  2. Don't really see how being a jerk relates to fishermen. The news media does this all the time GM worked caught doing bla bla bla. South Simcoe farmer doing bla bla bla. Fred who is a bit of a jerk proved it when boy fell on hood of car. That he was fishing means nothing.
  3. I find they work well in water!
  4. Bought about $300 of flouro everything available in 100yrd spools. From Seaguar to Maxiime. Settled on BPS XPS and Triple Surgeon knot.
  5. Get your pliers out and close that gap. Most spinner bugs break from re shaping and tuning them.
  6. Fishing Nip go big or stay home.
  7. I ran my own test snapping bucktails for walleye. Albright and uni were good if tied right and some times everything looked good and still failed. The triple surgeons by far the easiest to tie. You can lubricant and watch it cinch down and no it's right. That is one of the keys to knots if it doesn't tighten down smoothly it's sub standard.
  8. Triple Surgeons Knot
  9. Pickup some Spider Thread you will be happy you did.
  10. All this way and nobody talking about in line spinners. That's good forget I mentioned it.
  11. The idea of release boats was born right here in Ontario and has spread through out the tourney industry. With further study they learned to release the fish in the main basin and let them disperse in many directions. Also in water weight ins started here in Ontario. CBAF clubs are requiring you to take your fish back out to the lake after weight in. Hopefully this will spread thru the clubs. Don't understand that comment about bass being driven around Ont. all tournaments require you to stay on that body of water. If rec. fisherman are moving fish that's illegal and you can't write enough laws for idiots.
  12. The donut tire on GM will fit most trailers. And the most important thing CAA RV Plus $225, what was I thinking about all these years.
  13. Ahh JB that's what gets you started then it's how bad you want it!
  14. You wash, shower do your dishes clean your house clean your car water your lawn with Lake Ontario water and won't eat fish from Lake Ontario. TO FuNnY!
  15. Battery's are most likely to fail when brand new. Little bit of handling and a connection fails. Load tester is your best option. Every battery has 12.3 volt anything less and it has a dead cell.
  16. We used ours in Florida for cheap communication home. Will cancel after 12 months.
  17. Talk to Rob.
  18. Line and guide wear was with some of the first super lines that came out. They were all titanium based lines. All the lines mentioned are spectre lines and will not wear guides.
  19. Didn't read a good description of your problem. When you get this last problem fix (change foot petal back). Start your motor on about 50%, now slowly reduce power, if motor stops turning at 15 or 20%, now move power up to 100%, if motor fails to turn, get a long stick and push prop forward (DO NOT USE FINGERS), If prop takes off. Your brushes need adjusting or replacing.
  20. I also would not recommend the new Forex Minn Kota. Have been in 2 different boats recently and the head has a very annoying squeak constantly. The one setting dead still on Scugog with a constant er,er er. To much for me, would need a sled hammer by second day. Both were 101's. BBF = Big Fat Bass
  21. Morning Roy Scugog has a weed I call Skunk Grass that's not really a weed it's algae that grows in mounts and that little 70lb starts shaking when it gets close and just dies with contact.
  22. Go big our stay home! I'd be looking at the battery space for a 101-36v. Get to Maximum Minn Kota 74-80 with variable speed. Was in a boat with that cheapie 70 Minn Kota what a piece of junk. Bunch for sale on the BFB.
  23. Do you drive with the big motor and your trolling motor in the water. Your prop will spin backwards loosening the nut.
  24. Not every would I store my rods and tackle with gas cans/lawn mowers.
  25. Well you didn't listen the last time Cliff. Get those rods strip of line put them in the shower with dish soap then rinse. Now put all new line on and new baits and get back to catching fish.
