  1. It some times takes very little weight on those front tires for them to pull you out. Open up the hood put the anchor on the flat spot get a buddy to sit there. You just need a little weight on those front tires.
  2. I have a 1999 207 Sprint it's a work horse. Been in lot's of big water always got back. Doesn't like super skinny water. If you need any info pm me.
  3. No way that boat was born and bread to go fishn. Got to go need to check my MAX ticket I NEED 2 SKEETERS one like yours and a bad a......s bass boat.
  4. I did the walleye spawning survey on Scugog with the KFA. Both years took me 3 weeks before all night sleep was possible. (All those wallys and I couldn't catch them). I really need to thank you Ronnie and pete for going to all those meeting, we all know MNR are great for going to meetings not so great at making decisions. Think what should be studied is co relation to angler results to Kawratha Assessment netting results. I know that Balsam has a couple student techs riding around in a boat. Take these student techs put them in good walleye anglers boats measuring board sample kit and a small budget. Yes get some real data.
  5. Right now I would put my legal walleye catch at 15-20% with most being 17.5- 18.5 fish. By this fall those fish will be overs. Crazy is agreed also around when Rice crashed. So far this year I've kept 1 walleye (Balsam) and people in my boat have kept 5 and 3 of those came from Rice. And I do sample these lake at a very high level (often).
  6. We also had 2 years of 4 within the slot and 1 over which basically beat those slot fish to death.
  7. If MNR changed the Balsam slot to the general Kawratha slot it would take 1 season for Balsam to collapse because 90% of the walleye are in that slot. I can already see the negative effects of the slot on Rice. On any day the smallest % of caught walleye are in the slot. Later this year the current 12 inch crop are going the make the slot and start disappearing. And those over slot fish that you think are great to protect are getting older and older the clocks ticking 5 years before another Rice Lake collapse. No fan of slots here.
  8. The worse thing to happen to Balsam was the slot. Previous to the slot was a very normal population of every size fish. And just stunning amounts of walleye. Now we have a big group of slot fish. What happened was the KFA had a chapter of cottage anglers that couldn't catch walleye and a MNR netting program that didn't go deep enough to get the correct information. The only good thing is both Balsam and Rice have a huge supply of 12 inch.
  9. Spider Thread it's round no wax coat and very compact. Also Canadian Company.
  10. Have a high quality rain gear and wear it. 99% smallies keep your selection of rods down. Don't have your stuff spread all around the back deck. When the pro says we are moving get in your seat now. Make sure the pro has a bicycle seat for you it can and will get rough.
  11. I have very few super superstitions. Did you store your rod and reel near your gas tank....................... that's bad real bad. Remove all line wash rod and reel and re line. One time I bought cheap sunscreen and got skunk 2 weekends in a row. Berkly later came out with some chemical "starts with T@^%$**&^" that's bad real bad. Get cleaning up your equipment it will change your frame on mind.
  12. BJ Tackle in Bewedly has what you want.
  13. Spend some time in 2-5 ft. Fish the holes.
  14. Bought mine at BPS Orlando so they must be in Vaughan.
  15. Bought mine at BPS Orlando so they must be in Vaughan.
  16. BJ Tackle in Bewdely is a good place to buy quality tail. Also Bridgenorth Sport had some 2-3 years ago.
  17. I do it's called rice but I share sort of.
  18. I see it a little different high horse power should pay nothing or close and 9.9 tinny that want to get in the water to there knees and turtle jerk around should pay large. People that are new and will accept a little assistance should be 1/2 price. And lets not talk about personal water craft I might have a opinion! oh unless they bring there girl friends then it's "TAKE YOUR BONE HEAD"
  19. Bury a cooler, just CT $30 cooler some were that always has shade. Why buy worms! It's raining today and tonight worm pickin will be easy. Rule 1 Don't pick off sidewalks or roads. They have road rash and will die in cooler. Rule 2 never take worms fishing and return to cooler just release in yard. Feeding regular dirt and ground up newspaper, Go to yards sale and buy blender and don't over do newspaper and a few handfulls of yard grass.
  20. Sudbury is a smaller community with a lot of brother inlaws and second cousins. Think I might hire outside of the area.
  21. Was out Sun for very short time and did good. Guess we can report definitively to Dan at mnr that a strong year class of 12" walleye are available. Balsam also has a very good year class of 12" wally's.
  22. I was out Sun and had the same action and know of 3 other lakes that were on fire. And Wed. and Thurs just ordinary 10 -12 walleye.
  23. Take it your bass fishing? Go big or stay home. Don't buy that Min Kota with the 5 speeds. They are cheap and get nervous every weed they see.
  24. Post spawns spots are were you find the wally's. Just put your boat in the water try deep, try shallow and if that doesn'r work try in between.
  25. This is the standard 24v setup, Skeeter's are wired different and the plug converts from 12v to 24.
