You can also change your rpm by raising or lowering your motor. The 4 blade will carry weight better and be a little slower. So if your 3 blade dropped 10 mph with heavy load the 4 blade might drop 3-5.

The platinum has 1 ft contours for some Kawratha Lakes and Lake Ont. worth the money if they are lakes you fish. Check Navionics site.

Had canned sucker from old guy down at the river. Tasted fine bones were like can salmon. Didn't buy a caner.

Any thing under the plate rating turns your boat into a slug. That Astro I believe was rated for 200 and was a very high sided boat. Probably not a great scugog boat. I wouldn't buy anything that I couldn't test drive. "Things" Compression test. Buy one at princes auto $15. The rule is all cylinders with in 10%. Take bottom lower unit oil screw out water or milky is $500. Look at all the head bolts for signs of wrenches. Look at the water pisser strong and crisp. Theirs some good pressure so press your finger on it and see. $100 for impeller if you can do work. Little fine gel coat crack are nothing the problem ones are obvious. Get up there and walk around bounce up and down if it feels spongee run. Get under that boat with a flash light. The trailer, 4 tires $500, 4 trailer bearings $200 and labor if you can't do it. So jack it up spin those tires, grasp top and bottom check for movement. No clunk. And that's off the top of my head. Make sure the prop is adequate see lot's of guys keep there best prop. Get a load tester and learn how to use. All 36 volt strollers plus starter is 4 battery's. You can mess around but the good ones are $160 a crack"$700". Scugog eats battery's like chicken fingers.

Pins are simply the best at slowing your float down. And spinning's the best when manipulating your cast, pinpoint entry, starting your float above your roe/fly.

Proposed rainbow trout regulation Change for Lake Ontario ( fmz 20)

My memory say the peak runs were 1986. The counter in the 80's counted leaves, sticks, garbage bags and any other crap that went threw the fish ladder. Yes there was insane spring fishing in the later 70's and 80's not so much in the fall and nothing in winter. I watch these river silt back after the 1981 floods and it's still the main reason for the declining #'s. -

You would be wrong about me not fishing south shore. And they all have the stocker's in them making the whole crowd just that much easier to catch. Fun to fish not that challenging. -

This years is the 30th anniversary of the 100 year flood of Port Hope 1981. All the rivers were stripped of there silt. Ganny, Wilmot, Bowmanville, Oshawa ,Duffys everyone were silt free. And that set the stage for in creditable reproduction. And the bait fish were in lake Ontario to support all these naturally reproduced fish. So going back to the gory days of the 80's is just have a 100 year flood. Lot's of guys go to Ohio,PA,NY and return with story's of huge catches 50 fish days all stocked fish. They look like steelhead but no thanks I will take naturals. I will never support banning roe or fly only rivers. This is for elites, all these trout rivers are for family's and youth with to much time on there hands. If you want to be elite just work around the important people. -
Theirs only 2 ways Ofah will support anything. 1/ They get full credit. 2/ They increase membership. And all the exacter fish up the river means nothing if the rivers remain silted in.
-
I'm absolutely against banning fishing with roe. I and any number of anglers can do just as well with fly's plastic and hardware. Last week was March break were hundreds of kids were taken fishing and I don't want it any more difficult than necessary. Drop down to the creek today and you see family's show up tackle box lawn chairs, lunches they are the important ones. Bunch of steelheaders with 15ft rods $500 pin, nice vest are of no value. They have spent there $2000 and are good for life. That family they are priceless.

No they tell people there opinions............but they did name there ranch in Montana "BEARING BUDDY"
-
Giver the sniffer test. Gear only is un mistakable.

These guys have built and maintained trailers for 30 years and they are saying bearing buddy's are making them money. Those ones with the grease nibble on the end of your axle are the same as mine. They also have a cigar ring that fits over your axle with a hole in it. Nightmare to find and your inner seal is odd size.
-
My trailer guys tell me that bearing buddy's are the worst thing invented. We all keep putting grease in until we fill the cavity, at that point the bearing has so much grease around it may never generate enough heat to turn grease into oil. And that scores your bearing.

When I was about 17 we had a 4 day blizzard on April 10. We still had to get from Columbus to Port Perry to feed horses.

I up grade my bass boat. Make sure you get a suitable system with the high pressure hoses. Wouldn't drive a bass boat without hydraulic steering.
-
I've used the triple surgeon on every size Spider Thread Braid. Don't go to far apart in diameter and hold all 4 lines and pull at same time to cinch down.

Another store that has the people to go out and get product independently is Bellville CT great fishing selection.
-
You boys need to go to CT Kingston take Sharbot rd south. Both the Lindsay and Kingston have 1 thing in common. They are Independently owned and can put any product they can sell in there store. Bowmanville and most other CT are corp. stores and just take what some geek sends them.

Couple things you missed. On Scugog theirs huge shiners 4-4.5 inch shiners. And I always wondered why white was a very good color on the frog pond. Rice it's the gobie, and they are a game changer.
