  1. Dirty contacts are your most likely cause. Take everything a part and wire brush until shiny then coat with white grease. Doesn't matter how new your batteries are get a load tester ($39) Princess Auto and test. Grant must love this yearly service idea.
  2. When you are down at Princess Auto pick up a load tester $40. Every boater should have one. As stated every battery should have 12 volts any thing less and the battery is done. Fully charge battery then un plug note voltage then flip switch for load test, Plug charger back in and test battery for voltage, the voltage should go up, if it didn't it's the charger. You can also check if your alternator is working by starting your main engine same procedure.
  3. One trick you can do is start with your spool on it's edge when it falls over it will be coming off the spool correctly. You should always give about dozen turn then stop and drop slack if it pig tails turn spool over. Floura's nature is harder to mange so I never take a rod out the next day, let it sit for 4-5 days.
  4. Most times on the Kawrarthas you will want less depth to keep your cranks tipping the tops of weeds so Spider Thread Braid and thick diameter. If ultimate depth is required keep the diameter small and floura does sink. By going to extremes you can get 2ft deeper or 2ft shallower.
  5. It's a depth issue floure sinks braid floats and mono float for a bit. And then diameter of line affects depth. Most people never get to this level with crankbaits.
  6. It really depends what you are trying accomplish. If it's max depth use flouro and 10lb. Or go the other way 50lb. Spider Thread braid to run the same bait 2 ft shallower. A good standard set up would be 30lb Spider Thread Braid and then run flouro or mono leaders.
  7. Finding them is the problem, what to catch'm with not that hard.
  8. Just look where the sun will set. Those few bays over there will be the first to warm up. Start in the middle of the bay right were depth changes to 10-12 ft. Then check both pts and secondary pts. as the day goes on move shallows.
  9. That's easy fish both.
  10. The company's only needs to change 10% to make your patent useless. Try the mail thing, but defending a patent takes huge money.
  11. I was a regular for burgers and fries at Sandercocks. Can't see a stand alone restaurant working. Musky Bay has a small restaurant 6 booths you almost always wait for the grill to warm up.
  12. Never go to Auctions on rainy days. Pick nice sunny days when everybody else is off fishing.
  13. Seen Silver Thread Excalibur at Gagnon's the other day.
  14. Was in a boat with that 5 click 70lb Minn Kota. "What a gutless Wonder". Have two variable 74lb Maxim that work great.
  15. Turkey Lake boat reservations 1- 407 -299-1248
  16. Turkey Lake Park Orlando rent a Tracker boat trolling motor only $15
  17. Buddy had a BPS charger that messed up they over the counter replaced.
  18. A 3 bank charger is just 3 chargers in 1 unit. With the color/gps/down scan it's not un common for your motor charging system to not keep your battery's top up. The worst thing for a battery is to leave it un charged so plugging it in to auxiliary charge is recommend.
  19. You need a 3 bank charger for 3 battery's and the charger doesn't care what you do with the battery's .
  20. For me it's always see what all the others tackle stores have. So if I left Bowmanville today and went to Hamilton for fishing world over to Kichener for Natural stop at JB's $14 looks to be dirt cheat to me.
  21. You're in luck I have a 2 piece Cabelas E GLASS cranking rod thats 1 up from SGlass. I really believe it catches more cranking fish but it's really dull in your hand.
  22. Plasma for sports the refresh rate is crazy and general TV the LCD.
  23. Spider Thread maintains it structure and almost eliminates spool bind. I also only use yellow for these tired old eyes. The lighter the line the more careful you need to be with knots and general handling of the line.
  24. Spider Thread Braid is the latest technology in braid with a tighter weave and no wax will maintain it's structure for life.
